I assume they mean they don't set retail prices.

Official, Nintendo's lineup is so barren people are actually excited about some old makes being released with new controls at full retail price. Sad times.

But these are some incredible games. That's reason enough to get excited.

People are fools if they think that they are being released for the Hardcore to "palm us off because they haven't released their own games"

Come on, the reason they are releasing them is because so many didn't buy the GC, and they are broadening the likes of Pikmin, and DK so that when the wii versions appear they maximize the potential of them.

You know what Nintendo are like we might here something after there end of year financial results otherwise with the return of a bigger E3 we might get the Nintendo conference with big stuff, more likely to be WMP, Wii Sports Resorts, Sin & Punishment, Pikmin 3 and Punch Out, with a possible Zelda teaser. But they never show us new stuff but we already know their games are coming this year.

They are trying to widen games that never sold as well on GC as they could have on Wii.

And apparently they are good pikmin has had additions as has DK

Aye, the 360 has yet to play host to any FPS half as good as the original Metroid Prime. With Wii controls a la MP3 it would be perfect.

The trade price for new stock directly affects its price at retail. The Ninty guy is being hilariously disingenuous here.

Metroid Prime isn't even an FPS, etc.

No just that there have been better and games as good as Metroid Prime.

Metroid Prime 3 has the best controls of any console shooter though.

Ive played through most of CoD4, Halo 3, Gears (not 2), Lost Planet and Bioshock.

Bioshock is the only game this gen to come close to Metroid Prime (besides MP3) in terms of beauty, originality, difficulty, Boss challenge and general awesomeness.

Why are we comparing games from completely different genres?

:| I can't see how a new control system warrants a £29.99 price tag for an 8, yes 8 (!) year old game (talking Pikmin, here). If they went back to tart up the graphics then you might be on to something. As it stands it's a complete con

Yep, totally agree. Pikmin's wonderful, but expecting people to pay £29.99 for it in this day and age is pretty scandalous.

I never bought Pikmin on my Gamecube, £29.99 though? No thanks. There is not a chance in hell these are going to sell well at all >£20. Ridiculous.

They've talked about "changing" the save system. Do they just mean you can save at any time, or has the time limit itself gone?

I think you can go back to any day to replay it if and when you're struggling to make it in 30 days. I don't really see why it's a problem - on my first go, I took about 22 days, and that was taking my time.

Because making a game unwinnable through your own early actions while you're still learning to play the game is not fun.

But you would have to be really awful not the succeed in the time limit. You can say "this version is not just for the hardcore" but surely if you are playing a stratgey game you can't really be enjoying it if you don't have a decent level of skill? If you can't beat the game within that limit then the game probably isn't one you are going to like much anyway.

This may shock you, but some people don't really care about the enforced limits games put on them. Some people just want to have fun, and not be punished for doing so.
