There are still games from 2018 (and 17 and 16 and ...) that I want to get and play so a little breather in the release schedule is not a problem for me personally. I'm impressed by anyone who manages to keep up with these things to be fair!

The thing I found most refreshing was the SNES games announced weren't entirely the same old ones they've re-released many times before. At least they've added a few new ones for a bit of variety.

Yeah it's a good selection, they also could have been classic Nintendo and just given us about 3 games to start with so it's nice that we got a decent number!

That will be me, don’t play New Leaf often but still every few weeks I’ll load it up and check in.

These days I try to minimise my backlog, only got one game on the go on the Switch currently. I do this by mainly just sticking to one console though, so far it’s working well for me and I certainly don’t feel like I’m missing out on anything. Only games I use the PS4/Xbox for are racing games and even those don’t really get played much these days!

It’s fitting that the pirate themed Assassins Creed games are coming to Switch as there a lot of ports on the horizon.

Q: If I purchase Nintendo Switch Online for a short period and download the games I want, will I still be able to play them after my NSO lapses?

Quite excited to get my hands on Obra Dinn, but none of the other new games in the Direct immediately appealed.

More fighters throughout next year in Smash will keep the YouTube speculation video economy afloat!

Assuming you mean NES/SNES, the games aren't downloaded individually, they come all together in a single app. You need an active sub to play them, as Milner says.

That Stars Wars game looked awful, Return of the Obra Dinn does look good though i’ll give you that. (This is based on my personal tastes of course)

Well it was either those two, or a Force Unleashed duology release. As much as I'd love those two on Switch (along with the PSP exclusive modes), plenty of others would much rather they were forgotten.

In an ideal world the Star Wars games coming to the Switch would have been KOTOR 1&2 or the Rogue Squadron Trilogy, sadly neither happened Have they announced pricing for Jedi Outcast?

I'd go for a Kotor double pack with republic commando thrown in for free, yeah who am I kidding it would probably be more likely to see super stsrwars rereleased on a cart alone for £40 with switch tax

I don't believe so, Robbo. As a port of a seventeen year-old game you'd kinda imagine it being £6.99 or something. Of course, it'll probably be £29.99 . I noticed that the brief footage / screens shown were in third-person viewpoint; I hope that, as with the original, a first-person view is available as well.
