Can't believe they included a full remaster of Paper Mario TTYD as a mini-game in Super Mario Sunshine 2.

Predictions:

- SNES games for Switch Online Year 2.
- Smash DLC reveal (obviously)
- Bayonetta 3 first trailer
- WarioWare
- New game from Mario Kart team using old IP
- No Retro
- No Rare Replay
- Overwatch for Switch confirmed for this year amongst the other obvious third party stuff like Assassin's Creed
- Mario Maker 2 DLC - new Mario Odyssey and Mario Bros 2 themes
- More gameplay shown Luigi's Mansion 3 that sparks debate on whether it will be GOAT not just GOTY
- Fire Emblem DLC plans discussed
- Pokemon - evolutions revealed for starters
- Some AC tidbits but that will be saved for a full deep dive next year
- Pikmin 3 port for the Jan/Feb window, breaking the hearts of all of us desperate for 4

I'm excited that there is going to be a new Direct... but I just cannot make any predictions about what may be shown. Nintendo are gonna Nintendo! I'm managing my expectations after mistakenly thinking that Banjo + Kazooie skit meant Banjo Threeie rather than Smash DLC :oops: .

Intelligent Systems contributed 17 members of staff to Three Houses, so they must have been focusing on something else. Their other main franchises are WarioWare and Paper Mario-so one of those would make sense to be coming. There's been a fair bit of feedback from fans on Paper Mario recently, you'd hope some of it would have got back to Nintendo...but who knows.

Don’t worry I’m still hoping that now Banjo is coming to Smash we might get some of the Rare Replay games, I’d be more than happy with Banjo Kazooie, Banjo Tooie and Conker’s Bad Fur Day. Don’t see it happening though :(

That’s why I think myself (and maybe others?) are so keen on seeing Paper Mario TTYD remastered, then Nintendo can hopefully see that the older style of Paper Mario gams are just better without the sticker nonsense! Will it happen? Probably not :(
