Yeah, I expect the Pokemon announcement to come soon, interested to see what direction they take it in after Let’s Go.

Let's Go wasn't a Direct, but it was still a Pokémon themed event that was held in Japan.

For generation starters, Sun and Moon were unveiled 26-February, with X and Y being 8-January. It's possible we get a reveal close to Pokémon Day again, so sometime in the next two weeks.

They’re going to reveal the next Pokémon around Pokemon Day, I’m fairly certain.

I also think we’ll get another general Direct before E3, in late April.

Just as a heads up: Amazon still has it for £18 new, albeit with a 2-3 week dispatch.

Thanks for posting this. I ordered it on a whim after seeing your post and the new content in the Direct. Amazon just emailed to say that it should be delivered tomorrow but I probably won't open it until the new content is out as I'm still trying to polish off Let's Go, Pikachu and Tetris 99 is already on the scene :toot:

When it comes to Pokemon Gen 8, I think Gamefreaks next game gives us an idea what to expect graphically

It looks like they have a new engine (or at least, an improved version of the old one) and I can’t imagine they would go to all that trouble for a eshop only game.

Hopefully Pokemon Go has little bearing on the next Pokemon, hated the art style.

Hopefully they're aiming to mirror the style of the anime series in terms of visuals, Pokemon Sun & Moon were a good jump in that direction I thought.

Hopefully the characters aren't stumpy, they looked fine in Sun & Moon...

Considering how good Dragon Quest XI looks on Switch...

...I don't see why they shouldn't be too far off this...

I actually like how Let's Go looks, only played about 2 hours so far but I like the clean look of it, much nicer than Ultra Moon on 3DS. I just hate that I cant use a strawberry floating Pro controller to play it docked and those framerate drops :dread:
