My personal faves are:
> Super Mario Maker 2 - Yay! The return of GRcade's AYAMMM! (Cheeky Dev  )
> Starlink: Battle for Atlas - The free missions / skills update looked neat
> Assassins Creed III Remastered - I'm not quite sure why, but I'm keen to see how this runs on Switch
> The Legend of Zelda - Link’s Awakening (Remake) - I've not played the original!

A great presentation... but no Animal Crossing  :( . I'm guessing (hoping) it's still arriving this year?

Dude. Play ANY other Assassin's Creed game than 3. It is shite. I know you like shite, but it is the worst AC.

I adore the Link's Awakening remake's art style! As a huge fan of the original I never wanted a 3D remake, however if it were to happen I'm glad it's with a very abstract stylised look like this. A nice evolution of the Link Between Worlds aesthetic

That said...if this is another 30fps of a 60fps Game Boy game like Samus Returns I'mma be pissed D:

New Platinum Games offer seems likely biased to multiplayer?

And why would anyone care about character customisation in Bloodstained?

Can anyone confirm if you need an online subscription to play Tetris 99?

I believe they said you can only get it if you have the sub. Be pointless having it if you can't play online as it's Tetris Battle Royale.

Ya fair, but Fortnight is free to play without a subscription.

Have just searched the eShop for Tetris 99 but it doesn't seem to be out yet...

Just for you they'll make it 15fps.

I still don’t get why they’re releasing AC3/Liberations rather than the vastly superior Ezio trilogy of games. It’s not like it’s launching the same date as the PS4/Xbox One versions either to have some parity.

My highlight was definitely the Links Awakening remake and getting a release window of summer for Marvel UA3 and Grid Autosport.

Yeah, I get you, but this seems to be one of those, get it with your sub free things.

Insanely good Direct. I am a bit concerned for April and May though. Everything seemed to be Summer (plus a couple of Autumn bomb drops), and FE got a slight delay, which I was expecting.

As someone who never owned a Wii U, but still watches people stream Mario Maker, I'm hyped for Mario Maker 2. Happy to get dates for so much SE stuff, DQ Builders 2 in particular. Didn't realise DQ XI S had the 3DS 2D mode... seriously considering double dipping. The new Tokyo Factory RPG looks interesting, seemingly a much needed engine upgrade over Lost Sphear. How much is FF IX btw? Weird to see them drop it before VII.

Gameplay wise that's the best Bloodstained footage we've had yet (I was starting to get concerned).

Astral Chain blew me away. 2019 too? Insane. Link's Awakening remake too, very nice, and unexpected. Ace Direct, it's surprising that there's still so much more to come for the Switch in 2019 (Town, Animal Crossing, Luigi's Mansion 3, Pokemon Gen 8, etc). Nintendo just killing it.

Astral Chain looked really cool, I'm always in for anything Platinum. That and Fire Emblem looked the most promising for me.

Super Mario Maker 2 - not sure. I bought the first on Wii U, but only put a few hours into it. Didn't click. Maybe slopes will improve it enough.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order - if this has some depth and Diablo style play, I'll be very interested. I enjoyed the other two in the series

Dragon Quest Builders 2 - recently bought the original, and I'm really enjoying it. Glad I've got 6 months to complete it before this comes out.

Dragon Quest XI S - already own it on PS4. Great game but I won't be double dipping

Fire Emblem: Three Houses - looking good. Planning to pick this up.

The Legend of Zelda - Link’s Awakening (Remake) - one of my favourite games of all time. Looking gorgeous. This looks up there with RE2 in how to remake/re-release a game. Can't wait!

I don't really like the art style of Zelda remake. But... it's Zelda so I still will get it.

The other game I'm interested is in, is of course Platnium's game.

Mario Maker was probably the main game that really tempted me to get a Wii U so I am incredibly happy that we're getting MM2 on Switch! :toot: I'll probably only be able to create shite for it but it will still be fun. :D

Dragon Quest XI looked awesome as well, I have never actually dipped my toe into that series but I recall people gushing about it so I'll definitely be getting involved when that comes out.

Also despite not being a big Platinum Games fan I must admit that Astral Chain looked really good too!

At the end of the day though that Links Awakening reveal is the big one - the grin on my face when it became obvious what they were showing!
