I haven't actually played either of TP or SS so they're "new" Zelda games to me, but even then I'm still not actually that excited about the prospect of either.

Some of the animation and movement shown in the SS clips from last nights Direct looked incredibly clunky, especially for a game that isn't even 10 years old yet

I think im just going to plug my Wii U in when i get home. It basically gets me out of this loop of anguish over whether i should buy -

Mario Kart 8 (yeah, i know, its an "entirely different game" on Switch).
WW
TP
SM3DW

On Switch. And i could try and finish BotW.

I have basically saved enough there to cover half the cost of a PS5. If i put that £200 or so in a high interest savings account now (0.05% PA) it should have doubled in value by the time i can actually order a PS5.

You say that about Hyrule Field, but you prefer SS (empty sky) and WW (largely empty sea)?

As for the music, yes maybe, but that’s like saying ‘the worst gameplay out of any 3D Mario’. They’re all pretty good! I still love the intro theme and Hyrule Field.

They should completely remaster OOT from the ground up and sell it for £49.99.

One man should not have this much power in this game. Luckily I'm not an ordinary man.

I’m very much up for gaming remakes. Give me the Oracles in Link’s Awakeningovision and I’d be a happy man. It’s the constant tide of remasters that wears me down.

What I really want from Nintendo is a Zelda Game & Watch but with Phantom Hourglass on it, in the shell of the original Game & Watch.

Honestly I would've been happy with the DS versions of OoT and Majora re-released on the Switch. Don't know how I feel at all about Skyward Sword remaster on its own.

Yeah, I would be happy with OoT, Majora and WW bundle - that would be a day 1 for me.

I really enjoyed that Direct; I thought it was very good. There were lots of games that caught my attention and the ones I'm most keen to see more of are Skyward Sword, Miitopia and Mario Golf.

The only mild disappointments, for me, were the opening and ending slots; I'd thought that the Xenoblade stuff was gonna be a new Xenoblade game and I was totally buzzing when Splatoon 3 popped up... before it was announced as not launching until 2022.

Skyward Sword, though! Yes! I'm a bit grumbly about it being £49.99 but when I recall that fun experience of flying around Skyloft and holding the Wii Remote up high as if I was yelling "By the power of Greyskull!"... good times :-). Those special edition joy-con look lovely although, going by the pricing on the upcoming Monster Hunter Pro Controller, I could imagine they'll be priced at £79.99 and I wouldn't pay anything like that for them.

For me, I hugely enjoyed that fifty minutes and I'm a bit more excited about Switch now. [9]

Arghhhhh just make some new stuff. I'm sick of being sold the same old stuff over and over and over.

And I know I dont have to buy it, and I don't, which means I have nothing new as it's all just rehashed stuff constantly.

Well all the previous 3D Zeldas have had their own individual remaster so it's just a continuation of that

Remember when WW came out and they just gave us an updated version of OOT (a game that was only 4 years old at that point) with it for free?

I miss those days.

Thought it was a great little Direct overall :) Pyra Smash, Splatoon 3, Skyward Sword (in 60fps!!!), Mario Golf, Project Triangle, Ninja Gaiden Trilogy, Famicom Detective Club, Legend of Mana, Capcom Arcade, World's End Club, SaGa, Ghosts 'n Goblins, No More Heroes 3 and Neon White are all of interest to me.

Some of those I'll play on PC but hardly matters, I've got games to look forward to and enough games to play as is! Whoever you are you have enough games you can play now or down the line, trust me :p

Famicom Detective Club in particular I'm super happy for, that's a lovely bit of Nintendo history to finally get localised! And I love me a good mystery visual novel  Phoenix Wright fans in particular shouldn't sleep on that 'un
