Nintendo Direct - 17/02/21 @ 10pm - 50 mins long focusing on Nintendo Switch games for H1 2021

I was joking about Xenoblade, far too much Direct time has been taken up with releases, rereleases and rerereleases of that crap. Hope its dead in a ditch somewhere and something else gets a chance.

Be cool to see a tease for the new project from monolithsoft, hope it’s something different to the Xenoblade series

Good game, but I think it's the worst out of all three of them. The open world is absolutely fantastic looking and it's nice to explore though.

It is absolutely the worst out of the three of them. It tried to go MMO and such lost a lot of what made the series great. I absolutely loved the Skells, mind.

Anyway, Monolith definitely has better things to do with its time.

I really hope that we do hear about something new from Monolith soon, even if it's not a new Xenoblade game it would be good to get something out of them.

I imagine they are on support duty for BotW2 as well

Mario sports game announcement perhaps? Mario Golf or (preferably) Mario Strikers

Realistic predictions:

Inevitable Wii U Zelda ports. Probably includes OOT but not MM because Nintendo.
Oracle Zelda games in links awakening engine.
BOTW 2 mini trailer.
Metroid prime 4 concept art to remind us it's still about.
Mario Kart 8 DLC of some sort
Lots of smash brothers.
Pokemon stuff.

I think this is quite likely, I mean it's been 3 years since Mario Tennis and I seem to remember that released relatively quickly after first reveal. I'd love a new Mario Golf.

I've never played a Mario Strikers. At this point all the new Golfs and Tennises are just tarnishing my memories of the N64/GC games, so I'd rather have something I've not played before.

Toadstool Tour was definitely my favourite of the Mario Golf games (though the GBA one comes a very close second). Have they done a major release Mario Golf since that point? Seems like forever since we last had a new one.

There was one on the 3DS with a mediocre one-player mode. The golf itself was fine. See also: Tennis Aces.

Even if it was just the ps3 or vita version of everybody's golf, but with a Mario theme, it would be brilliant.

Just think, themed courses with lava bunkers, chain chomp hazards, power up the ball size by trick shotting off a mushroom.

Realistically, they're probably going to talk mostly about games that have already been announced for the 1st half of the year...

Although they might give Zelda it's own Direct later.
