Not going to lie, if we get another Smash focused direct I'll be slightly annoyed! Don't get me wrong, I fully expect it'll make an appearance but hopefully not more than 5 mins.

Trying not to get myself too excited for this direct anyway, not expecting much in the way of new announcements really.

F-Zero for the Switch but it's open world and everyone hates it, Animal Crossing that has the largest amount of space for the village yet with a beachfront of all the shops between the two areas, Switch Online gets the bonus of a free updated version of the 2005 Star Wars Battlefront II, the announcement of Nintendo World Resort - a business management simulation where you build and manage a Nintendo themed resort, Luigi's Mansion and Mario and Luigi 3DS ports are also coming to the Switch, the announcement of Mario Kart Doube Dash remastered for Switch with all new tracks and characters - including the Renegade Roundup battle mode, a sports minigame collection that puts Go Vacation to shame, then finally the Smash announcement. My wish is finally granted as Jenson Button makes it into the character roster with Lewis Hamilton as an echo fighter. Either that or Ronnie o'Sullivan with John Virgo as the echo.

That's how you build a completely nonsense Direct prediction that somehow seems good.

I have no expectations or hopes for anything in particular. Apart from more great 3DS games because I can't get enough of them and don't have a Switch.

I just want info on online services. Everything else is bonus to me.

I won't let myself think about Animal Crossing too much. I'd be nervous about a Switch version... would it be more like the excellent "Welcome amiibo!" update for the 3DS, or the disappointing Pocket Camp for mobile?

Will hopefully be home to catch the 23:00 start tonight. As ever, I''m hoping for surprises but I expect more news about Smash, Pokemon and Luigi's Mansion.

Not interested in smash brothers, so hopefully there is something new from nintendo for me (no more strawberry floating wii u ports for the love of Iwata).

I’d like Metroid Trilogy HD and some Prime 4 footage or details. Would also love F Zero in some form, even if it’s GX HD.

Understandable.

When it does return, let’s get this New Super Mario U port over and done with

I definitely understand... but it does seem a bit odd to have announced it last night and then cancel it :shifty: .

We are off the back of a Smash focused Direct so I doubt this will be the same (most we will get is a character reveal or a reveal of the new mode)

In terms of what we will see? I expect

3DS
Luigi’s Mansion trailer
Bowsers Inside Story trailer
New game (Link’s Awakening REmake) reveal trailer

Switch
Splatoon 2 update detailed, coming tomorrow
NSMB U port reveal trailer
Bayonetta 3 trailer/release window reveal
3rd party montage (Including Stick of Truth)
FF 15 Pocket Edition trailer
1-2 first half 2019 reveals (Pikmin to be one of them)
Pokemon Lets Go trailer
Overview of the new online features including details on firmware 6.0 which will be available to download after the Direct

Must have been a pretty bad earthquake to postpone a direct? Not had a chance to watch/look up any news yet so this is the first I've heard about it.
