I can't remember if that had already been announced or not.

Don't you guys already have Payday 2 on PC? would you actually get it again for Switch? seems pointless.

That new Splatoon 2 stuff looks amazing.

Really good Direct in Japan. Loved it.

ARMS in June and Splatoon 2 in July

Hopefully they can keep this sort of schedule up for the rest of the year.

Well that was a quick fire direct.

The befriend amiibo stuff for Splatoon 2 means SD wont ever go out again.

I do love the funky yellow joycons...it's great that Nintendo are releasing cool coloured controllers again after the boring black and white of Wii U.

It's interesting that Nintendo haven't announced a stand alone dock like they did in the US - surely it's a huge appeal being able to link Switches to different TVs in the house without faffing around with cables each time. I for one would buy the separate dock.

Splatoon and Arms look cool, Mario Kart 8 we know is amazing.

I'll still hold until Christmas though...still need to finish off my Wii U games.

I liked that direct, the new content for Arms 2 and Splatoon 2 looked really good although I'd still like to know more about the single player components of both of them. Happy with those release dates too, MK8 and Puyo Puyo Tetris should keep me busy up until Arms and then both that and Splatoon 2 within a month of each other :datass:

Those neon yellow Joy Cons looked great but no way I could justify another set, hopefully they just start to release Joy Cons in single L/R sets as well (I think they've only done that with grey so far). Glad we're finally getting the other Smash Amiibo and all the other newly announced ones look great too, particularly that Pikmin one (And I didn't think the game looked half bad either!)

I've got the first one. Pretty sure the second was on PS+ at some point as well.

It's only pointless if you already have it. That said I'm not fussed for it so I won't be getting it anyway.

Decent direct but no big surprises. Nice to get dates for ARMS and Splatoon. I'd hoped for ARMS towards the end of May, but June isn't too bad. Splatoon the month after is nice as well.

ARMS is looking really good. I get the impression it's going to be a lot of fun.

Splatoon 2 looks like more Splatoon, which isn't a bad thing at all. I wouldn't go as far as to say the new stuff added looks amazing though. It's a Horde mode and some Amiibos. Hardly setting the world on fire. Though the horde mode does look good.

That horde mode looks really fun. Nice to see it's a simultaneous worldwide release too.

Forgot about the battery pack for the Joycons. Was anyone worried about that at all? Those things last for ages.

Yellow Joycons do look sweet though. Already got two sets though so I can't justify another. :(

Do the battery packs mean the Switch will last longer, or are those batteries separate to the main Switch...

Does that mean that when you play the Switch in handheld mode, there are 3 sets of batteries being used at once?!

I think the idea is for extra sets of joycons for local arms.

I think the Joycons only draw power from the main unit when they are docked and charging. I'd like to think that in handheld mode they don't draw anything from the Switch unless they've drained their internal batteries first. This battery pack addon would then let them go longer without draining the Switch itself.

I assume. They never gave much detail on it.

The Joy Con battery packs look like they might add a fair amount of grip too so that could be part of the reason for them.

Shame we aren't getting some sort of Kirby collection for the 25th anniversary, none of the games they showef look great and it still irks me that we never got the collection that was released on Wii for the 20th anniversary.
