Xenoblade looks very good, will be getting an order in for that shortly. Star Wars Jedi Academy and Pod Racer will definitely be getting bought at some point.

The XCOM 2 Collection physical game contains an 8GB cartridge that features two base game missions. A download is required for the rest of the Total download size will not exceed 24GB.

The physical game contains an 8GB cartridge that features Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition, with a 6.6GB download required. For Borderlands 2 and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel a 35GB download is required.

My enthusiasm for these has diminished pretty substantially.

I'm sorry, are they still harping on about Xenoblade? Seems like they've had that one in every Direct for the last ten bloody years.

Oh! That Capcom diving game - "Shinsekai", releasing today - is a port of a mobile game that is already out as part of Apple Arcade.

The Switch version is being priced at $29.99. Apple Arcade is a fiver a month.

Dang it, my excitement after watching that Direct is rapidly dissipating as we get the details.

Yeah. Sorry 2K but I'm not subsidising you. I was a definite sale on the BioShock collection but not anymore.

You know something's gone wrong when their 'one last thing' is more details on the Pokémon expansion pass. :dread:

This, only I'm not sure how much was coronavirus and how much was just this year looking dead anyway. Thinking about it, weren't people already saying there hadn't been a Direct for ages prior to the pandemic hitting its stride?

Still, Panzer Dragoon out today!

That was awful. None of the games interested me,but at least the XC dub made me laugh. I did not expect much tbh (and lets be honest, there are loads of games to play already), but i was disappointed not to see anything of Deadly Premonition 2 (i foolishly thought that would be the "one last thing".... i forget that these videos are not really aimed at me).

2K has set a price of $49.99 for each of those collections, too. Fair enough if they were on physical media but I'm not paying that for "opening acts" and then having to download the rest.

Episode 1 racer :wub:

I've been wanting to see more of Ninjala since it was announced, I'll definitely give it a go as it's F2P.

The expansion pass is a big release though - it's the equivalent of the third game or sequels they've done in the past.

Also, going to buy "Good Job" when I get home. My kids will love that.

I promise I’d be saying the same thing about a third version, which would effectively be a slightly updated port and therefore come under the same level of shrugging I used for the Direct’s opener. (The new epilogue is a nice touch, though.)

Where can I preorder the special edition of Xenoblade Chronicles? It'll look nice next to the special edition of 2 I have.

Ah, now that one I don’t mind. Sakurai’s said that they’ve had real problems getting this off the ground due to COVID. Plus it’s instantly become my favourite DLC character for Ultimate solely due to being Nintendo.

So my positives were:
  • Xenoblade epilogue, not the rest of the game but the epilogue addition is nice;
  • Good Job looks lightweight but interesting;
  • ARMS character heading up the FP - I’ve wanted this for a good while. Vaati next plz;
  • Panzer Dragoon shadow drop.
Think that’s it.

I feel like we’ve seen far too many Remasters/remakes too released over the past few years across all consoles.

Borderlands is what 11 years old now? :/ not very hyped. Hoping they are maybe saving stuff for Q4?

I was disappointed to see this what not on Switch as it feels like such a perfect fit.

Does the remaster still start with the GnR song playing though as hearing that every time I played the game on 360 absolutely killed the song for me.

The diving game looked interesting, although finding out it isn’t built for Switch is a bit disappointing as it leaves me unsure as to how well it will control.

Good Job also looked interesting.

As for the rest :dread:

If I was being generous, I’d say Nintendo were holding on for E3 for their ‘major’ announcements — but I genuinely don’t think they have any.

The remasters and rereleases aren't a problem for me because in almost every case I never played the game when it was originally released.

What I do strongly object to is developers/publishers expecting me to pick up an extra costs in the form of storage memory. So no buys from me, 2K. Pretty sure they've done this before on Switch, too. Very poor.

Still, I might give Burnout Paradise a look.

Logically, they don't have any major releases until September now.

July/August might get some ports I suppose.
