Bit of a poor direct. No idea why arms is getting love now after its player base died years ago. I'd love Bioshock collection and Borderlands 2 will be amazing on switch.... Will have to wait for a digital sale though.

I see it's time for the annual "Nintendo have no games coming out this year" discussion in March.

It's pretty grim when they have to announce dominoes in a direct.

I liked the look of the following:

* Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition. Very hyped for this after falling in love with 2.
* XCOM2. Yes it's a port but I don't care, it's a great game that will be perfectly at home on Switch
* Bravely Default II. Never played the first one but this looks like a lot of fun
* Ring Fit Rhythm. I wanted Ring Fit already and this has just made it even more essential!
* Shinsekai. This looked really interesting, possibly over priced though.
* Burnout Paradise. It's just a great game that will work very well on Switch
* Panzer Dragoon. A Genuine Classic™

If we don't get Mario x Rabbids 2 at E3, I may give XCOM2 a go.

Nintendo have no games this half year (I mean, they’ve had a big or biggish non-port release each month so far, so really it’s just this Q2). They did this last year and then September collapsed under the weight of its own gameyness. Corona might make the same trick a bit harder to pull off.

Well it did come out 10 years ago and it seems like they’ve rereleased it every year since.

Some fun mini announcements like free Arms for a week, Burnout and err maybe one or two other things. Considering what the ‘competition’ have and next gen consoles are supposed to be out this year though, that was strawberry floating dire.

well now an actual direct, lets see, AC update looks good, bravely default 2 looks amazing, not keen on elvis having a terrible scottish accent, arms coming to smash is hype (unless its twintelle) im dead curious about the extra story in xenoblade but at the same time i dont think i can be bothered going though it all from the beginning

The new modes are for us true fans who didn't need to be forced inside to play it

(I played it for the first time yesterday for 20 minutes, and it kicked my ass...)

Unless the next-gen consoles are coming out before June I don't think this mini direct is really concerned with matching up to them

Did anyone else get a splatoon vibe from that ninja something? I know it'#s very different, but I got that vibe from it. Odd, maybe?

I'm with you, there, Pedz - Ninjala did seem to have a bit of Splatoon-styling about it!

Japanese direct had some nice things like a new Famista and a 16bit era esque Roguelike from Spike Chunsoft.

Looking forward the most to Bravely Default 2. I never did finish BD Second, but the first one was amazing.

Missed the Star Wars bits in it (was skipping through), just seen on NintendoLife that the Pod Racer is a remake? Is that true?

I was wondering if this was a remake or straight port of the N64 game too - I'm in either way

Oh I’m there either way as well  a remake would be really special though.

A full remake would be wonderful.
Its cool we're getting Burn Out as well, I was just thinking my Switch is lacking cool non-cart based driving / racing games. So I'm in on Burn Out too
