Personally would have preferred Takedown to Paraside.

I doubt it's a remake, since the aim of this was always to bring older Star Wars games to a new generation as faithfully as possible. I think that what they said when first announcing the two Jedi Knight games.

I doubt it’s a remake as well (still there day 1, Pod Racer was amazing), just the article NintendoLife put out got me thinking.

Racer is absolutely a day 1 purchase for me. I have such fond memories of that game.

Considering how beloved Pod Racer was, back in the day, and that it's one of the standout highlights of Episode 1 (even for critics of the film IIRC), and considering all the races, worlds etc developed in shows like the Clone Wars and Rebels, I cannot fathom how it is that we've gone this long without even an attempt to make a proper HD Pod Racer.

Did Jedi Outcast have motion controls, 'cus Academy sure does. Doesn't make the gunplay less painful to use, but it's something.

I've never played Racer on console, but I've certainly wanted to try it out. And I'd definitely be in for a new Racer using plenty of new locations.

Disappointed Jedi Academy is so expensive considering it's such an old game. It's on my watch list for when it comes down in price, but £18 for it? No chance.

Why have they skipped over the best Star Wars game of that series, though (Jedi Knight, obvs).

Also yeah I got a very Splatoon vibe from the silly Ninja thing.

They'll have skipped it because JO and JA are both on the Quake 3 engine which is very well documented and easy enough to port to modern systems. JK was on the SITH engine and I believe it was the only game it was ever used for (That and MOTS).

It's a case of what gets them the most sales for the minimum effort type thing.

I'm skipping JA anyway because I really didn't like the Jedi Outcast port. Seemed a bit bare minimum with motion controls slapped in there. It doesn't even have proper widescreen support and just stretches the image.

I would have been interested in Panzer Dragoon Orta, but i just played the up-rezzed OG Xbox version on Game Pass (looks amazing btw) and had forgotten how bastard hard it is. Hopefully their will be some options and additional checkpoints to help with this.
I'm sure i sailed through it when it originally launched...

Never heard of Dragon Panzer before - but interested. Gameplay wise how favourably does it compare to Starfox?

It’s kinda a cross between Starfox and Rez. But in terms of actual challenge it’s more like Starfox set to 11. The gameplay probably is more like Starfox actually, and there are power ups etc to collect. The Rez aspect is the pattern memorisation, and that requires you to be the correct form (of 3) for the enemies you are confronting.

Hmm, just realised this is not a remake of Orta. Ignore pretty much everything I said....

Also any word of a physical release?

If not then hopefully Limited Run will do one...

Also, I think we can finally let go of the "Nintendo is sitting on the Metroid Prime Trilogy remake" rumours.

Surely they'd have found a place for it the first 6 months of this year given how barren it is in places.

Yeah Metroid Prime Trilogy actually being a thing gets less likely as time goes on, I mean releasing it a year before Metroid Prime 4 would be good but considering how the first half of this year has been dedicated to Animal Crossing and XC remaster it would have made sense to slot it in somewhere if it was a thing.

Also didn’t realise Jedi Academy is £18, hope for a sale soon on that one.

First half of this year is basically JRPGs and Animal Crossing from Nintendo. Metroid Prime Trilogy would have fitted in perfectly to add some variety and while I'd understand wanting to build hype for Prime 4, they don't want to release it too close.

So yeah, looking less and less likely as you say.
