Overjoyed with the Smash character reveals.

Between Sean Schemmel as Lucario and DQ characters by Toriyama we've basically got Goku and god damn it that's enough for me

All in all I thought this was very good.

Luigi's Mansion 3 looks really excellent, I'm proper hyped for it now. I think the new abilities will add an extra layer to it.

Also very happy with the Links Awakening and BOTW2 packages.

Kind of disappointed there was no sequel to Odyssey announced.

We got BotW2 announced! Bemoaning the lack of SMO2 is a bit ‘Moon Kingdom on a Drumstick’.

(Even I am surprised at how well that worked.)

OK. But I want SMO2 to be next year's big reveal.

Considering that Nintendo show all their stuff spread across the year and Microsoft really only do the one info dump a year, in this new era of Nintendo E3s where they cannot possibly match some of the great past ones they have done - this was a really good performance from Nintendo.

To comfortably beat Microsoft is impressive stuff.

It's definitely coming.

DLC is going well for Nintendo and it would be easy to add to Odyssey. If they haven't added DLC to a game that sold 14m+, it's because they've gone straight to a sequel (i.e like Galaxy 2).

I'd put good money on Odyessy2 or BOTW2 being released for holiday 2020.

Agreed. Odyssey 2 revealed in January direct for sure.

I thought it was a great showing from Nintendo - the variety of games on displays was a key win for me, especially coming off the back of Tom Clancy Expo '19!

I think for me it was more a case of what wasn't I interested in!

Also, just seen that apparently the entire Witcher III will be on the Game Card - so that's a bonus for physical release fans.

My only complaint outside of where the strawberry float is F-Zero? Is they've not added anymore value to NSO. Still only NES games and Tetris 99, would have been nice to get another game or system.

While I generally agree the only caveat is Microsoft are at the end of their generation whereas Nintendo are right in the middle of theirs.

No interest in Smash or AC, and found most games underwhelming.

Liked the look of Luigi's 3 though, and might get Link's Awakening as I haven't played the original. BOTW2 was a great way to end.

It was a very good direct. Even with the extra E3 hype attached. Got a few surprises and good updates on things we expected. Plus it was mostly actual game footage which is always a bonus.

Also I feel like I say this every year but.... Sam.

I was a little underwhelmed – but I concede this was the best E3 presentation they've done in some time.

I haven't had a chance to watch the Luigi's Mansion Treehouse segment yet, but from the visuals on the Direct I was hoping it was going to look a lot better. Some nice new game mechanics though, so I think it'll be good.

Secret of Mana is the greatest game of all time, so fabulous that the SNES sequel is coming out (even given my antipathy toward any kind of remake/re-release). Having said that, the remaster looks horrible.

I was excited when Bowser said there was plenty of new stuff to be shown, but I was disappointed in the lack of new IP on show. Luigi, Animal Crossing, Pokemon are all just variations of stuff we've been playing for years. Arms was the last new IP Nintendo created, and before that it was Splatoon. Please just give me something different, Nintendo's greatest strength is creating new experiences I don't know I want to play, nit just rehashing the same old stuff.

Empire of Sin did catch my eye, I'll follow that one closely.

Obviously, it's great Breath of the Wild is getting a sequel but I predict we won't see it until 2022 (I think they'll announce a 2021 release, and then it will slip).

Panzer Dragoon looked appalling.

Why didn't Shigsy make an appearance? That ain't right!

Now Banjo is in Smash, might we see more Rare characters making an entrance? Battletoads?

Shiggsy isn't really involved with the games anymore, he's now responsible for stuff like Nintendo Land for Universal studios and I'd imagine he has some insight to the Mario movie.

Have they given a schedule for the treehouse segment today? Presume it’ll be getting underway shortly.
