I can't help but expect the "one last thing" BOTW 2 bit will just be a logo/name reveal and nothing else.

It does feel like we're (over)due a new WarioWare on Switch, I think that'd be a good one for announcing and revealing it's coming out like next month.

Ha! :D

I'm so excited for this direct, though not because I have particularly high expectations of Nintendo. I always seem more pleased with Directs than most are, anyway.

Everything everyone is suggesting sounds great (and now OR has me thinking about an open-world Mario Kart game - and I do hope in any Mario Kart 9 they use the camera to emphasize all the gravity-changes a bit more, so that you actually feel them whilst playing). But I'm not onboard with all the Smash hate! My friends and I play Smash as our default, go-to game for online multiplayer, and even the latest arrival Pyra/Mythra have been a great addition to the fray and the new characters are always a significant announcement for us!

Anyway, aside from all the hoped-for big-hittage, I'd also quite like Nintendo to confirm some QOL changes to Skyward Sword - perhaps in the Treehouse - beyond its frame-rate and controls, to better justify it's pricey re-release. (which I'll definitely buy anyway...) (I even bought my first ever - controversial - Amiibo in its honour :shifty: )

Just took a look on Google Analytics and saw Nintendo were taking a cheeky look around my site. Particularly those articles where I talk of Mii Resort Paradise, so I'm pretty sure they're going to announce that I'll be creative director on the project within the Direct, featuring a look at my website, and they'll end the segment off by telling everyone to support me and offer encouragement and ideas on how to make the idea the best it can be.

zzzz.... wuh....

Oh, sorry, I must have been sleep-talking again.

Honestly, Breath of the Wild's sequel is a lock for showing up here, I feel. Even if they just announce the logo and immediately transition to the Treehouse team to show it off - like what happened during 2016. Of course, the Treehouse would have more than just that game being featured. I really do want to see a new Mario Kart here, although I'd honestly take my fallback game of a Mario Kart Greatest Hits which adds a whole load of rebuilt tracks into 8 Deluxe or as its own game for those tracks that have already seen a return in a previous game. Then there's Pokémon Legends: Arceus, which I want to see more of, along with the remakes which I... kind of want to see more of. Having the remakes featured within the Treehouse would be enough.

I honestly don't know what else could be here. Nintendo are just that unpredictable. If I was to venture into the wilds, though, the GTA 3D Remake trilogy gets announced within the Direct, Nintendo bought the Starlink IP from Ubisoft and are building a new game. Microsoft's logo appears and everyone expects it to be Banjo-Kazooie / Rare Replay related, but it instead gets announced that they're reviving Midtown Madness exclusively for the Switch.

Okay here is my full prediction list:
- Show opens with the Pro reveal, it's not as big a power hike as everyone hoped for
- A new Smash character, not that big a fan-fave because they'll save that for the final one
- Multiple ports shown to rolling eyes, including Zelda HD pack
- Too long spent on games we know enough about: Mario Golf will get a trailer, NMH3 will get something, Pokémon BDSP will get a teaser etc. etc.
- A strange new peripheral
- A new JRPG getting five minutes of in-depth explanation when two would have done (I will still be keen)
- A sinking feeling that they're getting awfully close to the end without enough big reveals
- At least two big new Nintendo games releasing in 2021, because there's no way this year can be as bad as last - maybe Monolith?
- Bugger-all on Prime 4
- BotW2 name and date (in 2022) as the One Last Thing.

How did I forget about them spending too long on a JRPG :fp:

They might have more on that triangular strategy game as well, though I'm sure it will be an addition to a brand new game.

- Doshin the Giant remaster/remake
- 3D Donkey Kong game that's as gritty as Matt Reeve's Planet of the Apes trilogy
- Indiana Jones whips into Smash
- 3DS ports of Mario Kart 8, Astral Chain and Daemon x Machina
- Pandora's Tower 2
- Metroid Prime 4 development passed on to Grasshopper Manufacture

I'm so excited.

A new multiplayer Zelda would be great to see this year or next. Like a Four Swords Adventure sequel.
