Never seen this thread, somehow. I'll post my list a little later

One man should not have this much power in this game. Luckily I'm not an ordinary man.

Wubs on Link's Awakening and Majora's Mask makes me pretty confident in saying you should play Minish Cap

Yeah Minish is quite high on my Zelda "to do" list, I would like to get through all of the games in the franchise at some point but I can't see it happening any time soon!

Looking at those lists, the poor offering from Starfox is disappointing. It's a franchise with lots of personality that doesn't have the games to back it up. The ratio of good to bad games is the worst of any Nintendo franchise arguably. The problem is Nintendo given it to that big step forward to take the franchise forward. It hasn't had a Mario 64/OOT/Prime etc moment. With Star Fox Zero they basically remade Lylat Wars with a dodgy control scheme to try and justify the Wii U pad.

Starfox as a franchise has never really appealed to me.

The original was an interesting curio as a 3D game on consoles, and it was probably really impressive if all you were used to was the SNES/Mega Drive. But if you'd been exposed to things that the Amiga and PC had been doing in the 3D space for the last few years then it kind of lost that "wow" factor.

64 was impressive to watch at the time but the gameplay hadn't really moved on and was basically still just Space Harrier but with furries.

Don't think I've played one since then!

64 is a classic. It's still based around outdated Gameplay mechanics yes, but it has so many great moments. The voice acting is a big part of that.

It has bags of charm that's for sure and it's definitely a good game, I'm not denying that.

But yeah, the franchise never really grabbed me even back then and the cursory glance I've given to each new title that they've released has done little to make me think I need to jump back in!

A more open world based structure, kinda like Starlink, is the direction the franchise needs.

That's probably too much of a risk for Nintendo though-the franchise has never sold bucketloads.
