Just read on Nintendo Life that Capcom's Resident Evil Revelations 1 & 2 cartridge version will only include the first game (13 Gb) whilst the second game will be downloadable and require 26 Gb on a micro SD card. It seems that the Switch cartridges currently come in sizes of 1GB, 2GB, 4GB, 8GB, 16GB and 32GB... perfectly reasonable for most Nintendo-produced games, but pretty paltry for the size of "AAA" games that most publishers produce. Bigger sizes push up the price and hence the appearance of the infamous "Switch Tax". A Sandisk 32 Gb micro SD (class 10 speed) card currently costs around £13 on Amazon... quite a sum on top of the game purchase. Sure, the card can of course be used for any download, but if you have a few games then you probably won't want to be repeatedly / downloading over-writing.

Nintendo Life have published an interesting analysis but it seems that there are no easy answers to this challenge.

If a pre-owned card doesn't bother you then I got my 128gb SanDisk Ultra for £30 at CeX but then just noticed on Amazon they are £10 more for a new one. That jump in price though for a 256gb SanDisk card

That reminds me, I need a case for it. Which is considered the best? More compact the better imo.

You've only had the Switch for a few hours, still, and yet you're already holidaying on a rooftop with other cool Switch players? Living the dream :datass: .

I, too, would like a case for my Switch but I haven't seen one that attracts me. There are loads out there but they seem to be a little expensive and not really that good :shifty: .

I'm getting a big bonus at the end of the month, so it'll be time for me to join the Switch Squad. I also plan on getting LA Noire in November to try to encourage Rockstar to support the damn thing.

Welcome (in a few weeks' time) to Switch Squad, SEP!

Beyond LA Noire, are there any other games that you're looking to pick up?

Zelda, Mario Kart, Splatoon 2, Mario+Rabbids, Skyrim, Mario Odyssey, probably Fifa as well.

EDIT: Forgot about Resident Evil Revelations, too.

Really want to get the new NBA game. I'm a casual basketball fan at best but I haven't owned a basketball game since the Dreamcast and I think I'm due another one.

There do seem to be a couple of easy answers, as long as you're not a Nintendo apologist.
1. Nintendo don't charge publishers such exorbitant fees for game carts which force publishers to pass that expense on to gamers or take the hit themselves.
2. Nintendo put enough storage in their device so users aren't forced to purchase an alternate storage solution within the first 6 months of the devices existance.

I just bought the Hori hard case. About £15. Argos. It's fine, does the job. For those of us who refuse to stick a screen protector to our new shiny toy, it's a no-brainier!

That's a great collection, Milner - nice to see a copy of Super Bomberman R featuring in it! I would like to get Cave Story+ when Nicalis gets around to a UK release (probably around 2021 going on their past performance  ).

It's cool seeing these Switch collection lists and pics and I'll post my own later.

The game that I've played most so far is Kart (25 hours, apparently :o ), with some time on Disgaea, Mario + Rabbids and Lego Worlds. I've barely touched Zelda, Bomberman, Splatoon or Fate yet.

I only have three (Zelda: BOTW, Disgaea 5: Complete and Splatoon 2). I'm regretting not picking up Mario+Rabbids when it was on offer at Amazon. I'm now waiting for it to drop before picking it up. I do plan on picking up Kamiko too, when I have time to play it. I'm very jealous of Milner's I Am Setsuna. I stupidly bought it in a sale on PSN before Switch's launch, not expecting it to get a physical (at least not with an English language cover), and I expected Nintendo tax on it.

Weirdly my playtime for Disgaea is listed as 30+ hours on the console, but 60-ish on the save file, I'm not sure what happened there. Zelda is over 90 I think, and Splatoon over 60 or 65.

I've fallen hard for the console. I can't wait for the slew of great stuff towards the end of the year, Fire Emblem Warriors, Super Mario Odyssey and Xenoblade Chronicles 2. There's a good chance I'll pick up a few multi-format titles too, Battle Chasers, Rime, and Nights Of Azure 2 looks good (I thought the original looked woeful, and never picked it up though, I wonder how connected they are?). South Park's coming too isn't it? I just want to play everything on Switch at the moment, which is weird, previously I rarely ever picked up multi-format titles on Nintendo's consoles. Generally just Nintendo and exclusives.

Not currently planned, at least that was the last word I think.
