Unfortunately the Switch eShop does not have a gift option, Winckle. Nintendo did have this faciity in the Wii Shop, but that was never carried over to the 3DS, U or Switch stores.

I read all the threads, dude  .

My brother and I frequently lament this not continuing on, it was such a great feature! So weird that Steam is the only other marketplace, to my knowledge anyway, that has gifting.

I guess not, might be because it's hard to get hold of. Personally, I'm hoping they do theWorld Cup game next year and bring that to Switch as I tend to get that every four years.

Seemed to have plenty of copies in my local Asda and Smyths toys.

Some places were understocked it seems. My local supermarkets (Swansea) didn't have it and of the 2 Game stores, 1 sold out their limited supply by Sunday and the other had 1 left.

I've got it, and really enjoying it. It's a solid entry.

Stardew Valley is apparently £6 or so on the Mexican Store. I don't think it's up yet, but I might have a go at getting it at that price once I finish work.

Spotted the Chrom amiibo on Amazon and couldn't resist. I wish the regular edition of Fire Emblem Warriors had the £2 Prime discount. Really bizarre it doesn't, the special edition does. I want it for sub £40. :x I may just have to go with SimplyGames, who I've not really used for pre-orders yet.

Amazon upgraded me to release day delivery for Mario. I hate having to rely on delivery, but I'm planning on sharing the cartridge with my partner.

We should migrate GRcade to Flarum. :toot:

Can't believe we are getting a new, proper 3D Mario this month! Feels like Christmas

After seeing the Xenoblade Pro Controller I'm kind of regretting jumping on the Splatoon 2 one.

Stardew Valley seems a bit full on, I didn't think it would have quite so much to do. I feel a bit overwhelmed!

Don't try to do everything. I always did all my farming first thing and then decided what activity to concentrate on for the rest of the day (fishing, exploring, clearing, foraging etc). I found the community centre stuff helped me focus on a particular thing as it can become quite easy to get distracted by everything else.

The Metro newspaper feautures a Nintendo Switch advert on the back page today.

"So focused on playing, forgot the frozen yoghurt"... this must surely have been said by the same kind of person that has roof-top parties  .

Oh, and would you "take your Switch on a date"?

Welcome, Garth, to Switch Squad! It’d be cool to see you at the Mario Kart Tuesday sessions (Mondays from November) :toot: .

Cheers! :)

Any accessory recommendations? I expect I'll need more storage too, will have a look at prices now.

There are a lot of cases out there and it really depends on what you want as to what the best one is, I bought a slightly thicker one which will accommodate the cover I have on it (the one below).

Personally I'd say you'd almost certainly want a Game Card case like this, unless you are planning on going all digital...

And if you are going to be taking your Switch anywhere I really like the following, it protects the screen when its on and away somewhere and doubles as a stand (because the stand on the Switch is quite frankly useless)...
