Still feels off that rumours are putting the Switch 2 into the first 1/4 of 2025, when we don't have any first party games announced past the summer, of course I'm expecting some kind of Pokemon game to be announced in the upcoming Pokemon Presents to fill the November slot, whether its a mainline remake or a spinoff, but it still leaves 4 or 5 months where there isn't a first party game releasing, I imagine there will be something in the works, but it feels like they'd got fully on board for a September/October launch for the Switch 2 and now we're heading into what should have been Switch 2 launch, with nothing. I imagine if the Switch 2 does release in 2025, it'll probably be early March like the first Switch was, January would be a very poor time to choose to release a new console.
Switch 2 will likely launch March 2025 and have a similar year to Switch with an exclusive released every month.
In terms of 2024, I think after Luigi's Mansion 2 HD we will get a mix of remasters and a couple of new games.
I think the big games this year will be a Pokémon spin off and Metroid Prime 4.
At least we haven't got long to find out what the Pokemon game will be, if we're getting one that is. They've not give the franchise a year off in ages, but it does happen rarely, think the last one was in 2015? Between ORAS and SM? I still can't see MP4 coming out on the Switch first, unless its not going to be a cross gen title, but at this stage I think they'd be missing a trick not having it cross gen, though Metroid is far from a system seller despite how good the games generally are.
I bet MP4 would have been cross gen but they likely need it out this year just to have a big release for Christmas.
With Pokémon, yeah they have been churning the games out
Ninty really do need one this year especially if Switch 2 isn’t coming out.
Yeah, they genuinely do need a Pokemon game to fill the November slot this year, could have given BDSP a couple more years in the works, added all the Platinum content (or had it as post game), got all the bugs ironed out for launch, we really didn't need BDSP in November 21 and then Legends Arceus in January 22, with Scarlet and Violet 10 months later. Even as an avid Pokemon fan, 3 games in a year was a lot

The excited kid part of my brain wants Switch 2 tommorow....
In comparison I'd be happy all-round if the next Xbox and PlayStation didn't launch for another 3 to 4 years, they both feel strong and current and I'm in no rush.
The Xbox Series X and PS5 don't even feel like they've properly got going yet, whereas the Switch is still amazing to play on, but you get the feeling Nintendo are getting all of they can out of it now. There is still plenty of games coming to the Switch this year, just not in the way of first party games after the summer.
