I would have loved to have seen Souls II and III on Switch, too, but it feels highly unlikely now.

For sure, that feels like a bit of a missed opportunity!

It would have been great to have the trilogy available on Switch but, hey, it's cool that the first entry gained a decent port. I know that a few folk here played through the Switch version, including Hypes IIRC.

Yeah looking forward to getting stuck into some of the games. This is a somewhat optimistic purchase for my upcoming paternity leave so easy pick up and play games are probably my go to for now, tempted to pick up FC24 (basic I know ) as I've heard the Switch version is actually decent this year.

Any must play games? So far I'm thinking

I would throw in Mario Odyssey with the 3 games you mentioned and that will keep you plenty busy for awhile.

No other way round, everything released by Nintendo on Wii U (bar a handful of titles) is now on Switch. So if you skipped Wii U you have even more options on Switch

At least you won’t need to think about buying a Switch 2 for at least 3 years, that’s assuming you buy most of the 1st party games and pour all your free time into them.
