Was thinking about what games from the GC and Wii era Nintendo have remastered into HD

Xenoblade Chronicles

I wonder if that’s an area Nintendo will focus on now they have gotten the Wii U ports done for the most part? The Metroid Prime Trilogy is heavily rumoured to be coming so it would come down to if they want to bring games like TTYD, F-Zero GX and Punch Out into the HD era. Be a great idea if these are IP’s they don’t plan to make new entries for at present.

Thousand Year Door needs another release because I never got to play it.

I chose Tales of Symphonia over it. I liked it, but it was probably the wrong decision.

I'm probably in the minority but I absolutely loved Tales of Symphonia, probably more so than TTYD (and I loved that as well). Got a feeling it probably hasn't aged as well as TTYD though.

Ordered a second Nintendo Switch today to play Splatoon 2 with daughter, her one's memory card slot has stopped working (ill get it fixed after lockdown over) but she has most games on cartridge, me, I'll finally have my own Switch just to myself.

As far as I can tell, I just sign into my new switch with my account and I can download all the games I bought previously and she can still play my downloaded games also but not at the same time correct?

Whichever Switch is not primary will also need to be online

Yep, it's the same with Xbox. That's not gonna be a problem.

Do I have to join the online stuff again on 2nd Switch or does that carry over? (have family pass at mo).

I think with most downloaded games you can play them at the same time (although it might depend on the primary/secondary setup). I've got my girlfriend's Switch set up as my primary console, so whenever I try and launch a downloaded game it has to connect to the internet to check the license or w/e it does, but we can both load the same game at the same time (Mario Kart, Animal Crossing, etc) and play with each other together like we would usually. The only slight issue we get is that you can't do *local* multiplayer with each other, so you'll always have to connect to each other over wi-fi even if you're in the same room, but that's not a massive issue with everyone not actually being allowed to leave the house.

And yeah, the family plan covers multiple users and multiple switches, so you can just add her email address to your family on the website.

Thanks for the clarification, I believe though, to play Splatoon 2 with her online ill need a second copy of it. (she has the physical version). I'm looking forward to playing Mario 3D Allstars, BOTW and a selection of the SNES titles + the Secret of Mana (I have all these digitally) on my 65" 4KTV (lol) for extended periods of time because I'll finally have my own switch, (she used to want it back after an hour or so to play Splatoon2/Animal Crossing). Friday night has already been earmarked by my daughter as Splatoon 2 night, she's really good at it so she'll be coaching me, looking forward to it though.

The Drift Issue with Joycons is dreadful tbh, my second set of joycons have started to drift already. I've never known a console to have such issues, luckily I've orderd a second Pro Controller.

They're both acceptable versions.

Civ 6 gets a bit buggy towards the end of large games but can be worked around by saving and relaunching. There's also a few graphic options to turn down to make things slightly smoother.

XCom 2 is really good. Not very pretty but it's all there in a working state. I haven't tried the DLC but recently completed vanilla game and found it very enjoyable.

I got them in previous sales and have really got the value out of them. I wouldn't have paid full price however.

Go for whichever turn based strategy game itch you want to scratch. They're both really well suited for handheld mode.
