It does look fun! At £18, I'm gonna look out for a few reviews, though. Interestingly, I noticed that it's published by Nintendo themselves - I wonder if they developed it?

Edit: Yep, it's a Nintendo-produced game :o . And Polygon like it.

It feels very Nintendo-ey.

It's like a hilarious mash up of Heave Ho, Overcooked, The Stretchers and the Portal demonstration cartoons.

From the looks of the amount of puzzles on each floor it should take a good amount of time to do. We're only just on the 'boss' level of floor 2 after an hour and 50 minutes. And there's lots of floors.

I'd not heard of it but that looks good. Will add it to the list. Cheers.

Yeah, it came out of nowhere yesterday, announced at the direct mini and released straight away!

Actually, "Good Job" was the one game in the direct that did look like fun. I think i will wait for a sale though. If i had someone to play it co op with i would probably pick it up straight away, but it looks like it may be a bit too fiddly to get my wife to play.

Now would be a very nice time for them to chuck a few Snes games on the Nintendo subscription!

It is nice when they shadow drop games out of no where with no pre realease hype - just here is a direct and by the way you can play it now. I think they did the same with stretchers. It would be nice if Nintendo made a habit of it.

Good job looks like my kind of thing, but I'm not paying £18 for it. On to the wishlist it goes.

Looking at screenshots I was concerned that you'd have to complete tasks within a time limit (I'm not often a fan of that approach!) but, having checked out gameplay on this vid, it seems that it's just your progress that is timed. It looks to be pretty funny... I'd love to wreck the office :-) .

Had no idea Good Job was a Nintendo game. Much more interested now. Will probably give it a go.

What's everyone's tip for the Arms character?

Spring-man with a Ribbon Girl alt would be the logical choice but perhaps anticlimatic given the nature of the reveal so far, as it's so predictable. We also obviously already have Spring-man in Smash already as alt trophy.

Twintelle would be a good choice in my opinion, and add some much needed diversity to the Smash roster. Min Min as well, would be a good fit.

well my own top picks would be, ninjara, min min, helix or lola pop though id be happy with anyone besides twintelle. i could see it being min min as she was named most popular

Nintendo seem to use Twintelle in a lot of promotional material.

Dare I hope this is a sign Arms 2 is in development? Probably not but still, we can dream.

Consider my curiosity in Good Job officially piqued. Re. ARMS, give me Helix or give me death.

Rumours abound that Nintendo are just on publishing - and maybe ownership? - duties rather than development. Paladin Studies appears to have done the coding, even though this is not mentioned on their website.

It's Nintendo published, not developed. Like Snipperclips.

Not sure what that means for ownership mind you.

Edit: Nintendo own the trademark:

From the Good Job! product page:

© 2020 Nintendo. Good Job! And Nintendo Switch are trademarks of Nintendo.

I haven't played Arms nor Smash and am not particularly a fan of the genre, so not really qualified to comment. But I understand there is normally some hype around which character will be introduced to Smash.

Announcer: "Joining the battle [some Arms Character]" I could almost hear him follow that with "sorry about that"
