I haven't played Arms nor Smash and am not particularly a fan of the genre, so not really qualified to comment. But I understand there is normally some hype around which character will be introduced to Smash.

Announcer: "Joining the battle [some Arms Character]" I could almost hear him follow that with "sorry about that"

You were right about not being qualified to comment :capnscotty:

Just looked on Nintendo Life, and there's a rumour about some BotW2 details. Apparently they were inspired by Red Dead Redemption 2 for this one.

Should prove interesting when we get our first look at it to see just how much of an inspiration RDR2 had on it.

I've just started playing Red Dead 2 after finishing BotW and I feel that everything RDR2 does, BotW already did ten times better.

Well I’ve not played RDR 2, one thing I hope BotW 2 does do is better side quests. The Tarrey Town one was good but the rest of them were pretty forgettable to me.

This, and better dungeons are my main hope for BOTW2.

Less copy and paste side quests and more involving Tarrey Town esque quests please.

The games seem like two opposite extremes with BOTW being play-focused while RDR2 is immersion-focused. If there is any truth to it hope they mean they were inspired by the encounters that can happen in RDR2 - the few similar events in BOTW (like finding people under attack from bokoblins) were really fun.

Hopefully they'll be adding a story this time.

Really looking forward to the Xenoblade remake. My only concern is the combat feel a little limited coming off the back of 2.

The Bioshock Collection is up for pre-order for £39.99 at Amazon and £39.99 at GAME.

The Borderlands Collection is also up for £39.99 at GAME.

Remember that big downloads are still necessary, though!

Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition is up for pre-order at ShopTo; £42.85 for the standard version and £79.85 for the limited edition version. Or, the standard version is £59.99 at GAME.

But we mustn’t be careless, in our haste to preorder!

On XC though, anyone else hoping that there is at least an option for the default outfits to stay even when you change armour?

Post from Jeff Grubb (Venturebeat) on ResetEra:

The reason I said it wasn't a mini is because of the games I thought Nintendo was showing up with. I don't know why Nintendo is holding back on its 2020 lineup, but my guess is the same as everyone else's: playing it safe in an uncertain environment due to COVID-19.

My guess is that Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition is the only other big release until the faux-E3, and then the other games I'm hearing about will follow quickly after that. The good news there is that it should be a pretty darn packed summer Direct as long as development doesn't get too disrupted.

That said, I'm not trying to get your expectations sky high. I don't think this year is going to match 2017, and Nintendo is going to continue relying on HD remasters -- but maybe in a bigger way that ever before.

2017 is pretty much unmatchable as the only year ever with both a mainline 3D Zelda and mainline 3D Mario

Plus Splatoon 2, Arms and Xenoblade 2.

For me, i think that might be my favourite ever year from Nintendo.

Agreed. Two games of the generation in a year, and a splendid supporting cast. Nintendo should be aiming for 2019 levels because 2017 won’t be seen again for a while.

HD remasters :dread: I hope they’re properly Link’s Awakening-style at least, a completely revolutionary view.
