Maybe not the engine, but the game as a whole felt like what it was: a coat of paint on an old game, and an old game that doesn't hold up in the modern era at that. Most of what I liked about LA was the coat of paint.

I thought LA's design held up relatively well although I am aware there are probably some really obtuse moments for progression that I took for granted as I've already completed it.

I don't, ifif. I'm careful, though, and only use the system at home.

Not here

The bezel has some marks in certain light at the bottom to each side from the dock but the screen is still perfect. I'm a handheld player so am always docking/undocking and I take my Switch out with me plenty

I do, and there's not a mark on it. though the switch doesn't leave the dock all that often.

I do, my cat's claws are like razer blades (my iphone 11 now has a scratch on the screen after he casually stretched whilst i was browsing the internet on it).
After that i tried 4 times to apply a glass screen protector to my iphone (to try and hide the damage a bit), and every time i got cat fur under it, so i have learnt to live with it (barely though).

I managed to get one on my switch 2nd try, but if that one has gotten anything trapped under it i would have given up and late fate decide.

Yeah, I used one of the Orzly glass ones because the kids are taking it out of the dock fairly regularly.
