If this is the year Nintendo had planned for Switch before COVID it’s awful for a system in its fourth year

I wonder if this was planned for August and Covid has knocked it back a few months.

Animal Crossing
Xenoblade DE
Clubhouse Games
Paper Mario
Pikmin 3

To August is pretty good, but they definitely need a big title for the holiday season and it's difficult to see that happening.

I can see the remainder of the year being the Mario remasters and the Pokemon DLC to close out the year. 3D World port for January and then who knows

Yep, it does feel like that might be the case.

Still, will see what else this month reveals.

It is ridiculous that people keep complaining about Wii U ports yes.

No strawberry floater bought the Wii U, that these games are finally getting to see a decent audience is a good thing!

Nintendo should however have been capable of giving us more original content alongside these ports, that much is undeniable!

EDIT: also why the strawberry float is anyone caring about what that King Zell person says? How many times do people need to get burnt by these "in the know" leaker idiots before wising up!?

BUT I DNT GET TO PLAY IT B4

I'll ask again every time you post this tired meme and run it into the ground, what's wrong with introducing the game to a new audience that never played it before?

Thats the thing with ports, they should be there to bolster an already strong lineup but most of the time they don’t.

I liked this game on Wii U. Probably won't buy it again, mind you.

I envy anyone who hasn't played Pikmin 3 because it is a fantastic game. I enjoyed Pikmin 2, but never finished it. 3 on the other hand, had me hooked from start to finish.

I may pick it up at some point to check out the new content and DLC. It's a shame that it will miss out on the dual screen set-up from the Wii U version but hopefully it still works well with the Joycons in place of the Wii Remote and Nunchuk.

Never played a Pikmin game before so I might have to give this one a go.

I don't think the genre is really for me. I liked the idea of Little King's Story much more than playing it, and my one attempt at playing Pikmin did nothing for me

I tried both Pikmin 2 (free copy for signing up to one of the Nintendo magazines years ago) and Pikmin 3, I found them alright overall but nothing fantastic. As with ports, glad for those who want to replay it or didn’t get to enjoy it the first time round but I won’t be getting this one.

I liked Pikmin, though I didn't finish it. I never played 2 or 3.

It sounds like 3 is really well-liked by fans of the series so I'll pick it up for sure.

Anyone got a Cash Generator nearby might want to check for unboxed Switch games. Got 3 unboxed carts for £27.97 altogether (Mario Kart 8 Deluxe - £9.99, Crash N-Sane Trilogy - £7.99 and Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze - £9.99)

I only wanted DK as I’ve never played it but couldn’t leave the others sitting there at those prices. I’ll see if the stepdaughter wants MK8 if not on eBay it goes!

So pleased about Pikmin 3. It was the last remaining game that I missed out on by not having a Wii U, and I’d pretty much given up on it.
