As soon as I saw the article on Nintendo Life saying that it had released, you better believe I downloaded it straight away then played for two hours until I realised what the time was.

I’d forgotten just how fun it is

Oh, it certainly is. For a first-time player of it, I can certainly see why this was held up as a great racer. An absolute blast to race the pods, and though the sounds can get a bit irritating, it's still a great experience.

It's 17th on the download exclusives chart, and for something that was pretty much shadowdropped yesterday, I think it shows just how much others wanted to get their hands on it too. For all games, my best guess would be within top 50, since The Walking Dead Season 2 is 12th on digital, yet 30th within all games. As more people realise it has released, I could see it get into the top 30.

They really need to patch online multiplayer in though...! Seems the PC version has it.

I think on PC it's still only LAN multiplayer, it's just you can use virtual LAN software to play online if you organise with people.

I've not got a lot of experience in the MOBA genre but my understand is a lot of the depth comes from the interesting ways characters interact with each other, none of which was on display in that presentation. From what they showed, it looks a pretty weak offering.

And of course, the Gen 1 pandering continues.

I don't think the vocal minority that moan on the internet about dexit etc is the market they're aiming for

So after picking up Railway Empire and putting an hour into it, I now really, really want a Switch version of Transport Tycoon Deluxe. Not that Railway Empire is a bad game, it plays really nicely. Its just TTD was absolutely amazing.

Pokémon fans are strawberry floating weird, each announcement or release seems to generate a whole heap of gooseberry fool and hate online but they always sell like hot cakes. I'm sure this MOBA will still be hugely successful

I'll give Pokemon Unite a go on my phone when it comes out but I was still disappointed that it wasn't Let's Go, Johto.

The only thing that made me a little disappointed was that they said last week it was a big project didn’t they? In no way is Pokémon Unite a big project game to me. Obviously to some of the developers, people who enjoy the type of games it might well be a big announcement but I think saying it after last weeks was making fans imaginations run a little wild

I think most are expecting a new fully fledged Pokemon release every time or a remake of a previous generation. And understand they can’t churn those out as fast or as often as fans want for many reasons so ultimately they hype up and disappoint themselves
