You really shouldn't need to fork out for a new joy-con!

Yeah, if you can provide proof of purchase you can send it off to Nintendo UK and they will repair it for free. Got mine back last week, good as new, and my console is over two years old. Bought the console online from a third party retailer and a copy of the email order confirmation was sufficient as proof of purchase. There's a repairs section on the Nintendo UK site. You do have to wait a few weeks, but postage is free (assuming you've got a printer!)

Ah strawberry float, I bought my switch in the States and both my left joycons are going :x

I used that wd40 contact cleaner on my joycons and it fixed the drift immediately.

Today's Nintendo prize

That's bold.

Should have had Doug Bowser modelling it to be fair.

Even I've entered that one, purely as it'd be a mix of amazing and bonkers if I won it

Would definitely buy a matching shirt if I did of course :datass:

If I win, I wonder if I'd be able to wear it. Will they offer 3XL sizes? I'll wear it on stream one day for sure if I do.

You could always fix them yourself with some from Amazon.

In other competition news, if you get a top 100 time on a Mario Maker 2 ninji course at the moment you can win a 35 years of Mario medal

During my Farming Simulator 19 stream last week, I ended up talking a bit of the differences between Farming and Trucking simulators, and mentioned that a trucking game had recently come to the Switch. I knew that as I'd recently read a review about it. Might have got my facts a bit wrong about it, but since I'm interested in simulators, I thought I'd look it up.

Simply titled Truck Driver, that linked article is the one I was talking of when I mentioned seeing a review for it. It released two days ago. I have to admit I was under the impression it was a smaller release, but looking at the price on the eShop. Seems I was wrong. £45 for what seems to be a much better offering than I had expected. Admittedly it is a port of a game that had released on other consoles last year (for £10 cheaper), and will be coming to Steam next year (where it'll probably be on sale for even less within a year). For a handheld trucking experience, though, this is probably the best you'll get.

What's the thoughts on putting the docked switch in a semi enclosed space? Now my pro has been taken out of the unit, I'm thinking of putting the switch in there, but it's a low enough gap that I'll have to tilt the dock fully forward to take the switch out. As long as there's some space above the vent it should be ok right?

I don’t see it being an issue, its not like the Switch kicks out masses of heat so as long as there is some space above the vent you should be good.
