You’re head will explode when it’s 45 minutes of a xenoblade character in smash

Noah off-seers his way into Smash!

Now, here's Sakurai to give you a 30 minute breakdown of how the character plays.

Please understand.

I remain a big Smash fan, but at this point I am very sick of all the hullabaloo that went on around the Fighters Pass and I'm glad it's done.

Yeah, they should have just done character reveals as its own thing away from Directs for the second FP. They dragged it out for years

Personally I both hated it and miss it because it was very funny

We will now of course get the same thing for Mario Kart 8. :dread:

With the remaining 10-15 minutes somehow taken up inexplicably by Smash

Fighter Pass Season 3 confirmed! Featuring Cecil from FFIV, Adol Christin, and the hero from Xenoblade 3.

Celeste is on sale for £4ish, and apparently it doesn't get discounted that often. I can probably get it for £2 with the coin discount thing.

I've heard it's hard, but how hard are we talking? It's apparently also pretty generous in terms of aid offered to players and adaptive difficulty?

I finished the main game and I'm crap at games! It is hard, but the screens are so short that a death barely ever costs you much time.

But yes the assist mode is really in-depth. You can slow down time, change climbing stamina, even give yourself an extra jump I think - all on the fly.

It's not adaptive difficulty, but it has very robust assist mode options you can enable/disable at will that at the most extreme will completely trivialise the game but offer varying levels of assistance to suit.

The vanilla game is tough, but there are lots of optional challenges and it's the post-game where the difficulty really ramps up (so you can feel happy checking out after the substantial main story if you like).

How much do you miss out on though, if you can't/don't attempt the game's more difficulty "B-side"?

Each stage of the game has an associated B and C side, and then there's the free DLC.

Of the main game's plot? Nothing. I didn't. It does look you out of the free DLC, but it feels plenty complete without that.

I've not really touched anything beyond the main line, and it's one of my favourite games of all time

Same, it's my favourite 2D platformer ever.
