I think Rime has significant performance issues on every platform.

I played The Sexy Brutale on Switch which was I believe by the same bunch, and while I enjoyed it the slowdown and judders were atrocious.

It's fine on PS4 Pro.

I bought it again on Switch, for me Rime is the most under-rated game of the last few years. Personally I don't think any performance issues would really detract from the game all that much.

Not played Brothers, but Rime is friggin brilliant.

Doesn't Rime have some significant performance issues on Switch?

I played it on Xbox so strawberry float knows, I meant as a game,

Anyone seen these GameCube Joycons you can buy now?

I am very tempted to order a set.

Definitely reconsider that. Okay, so I have no experience with these but... notice anything odd about the analog stick and the C-stick? The octagon gates are rotated the wrong way!

Okay, so according to one of the reviews apparently the travel on the sticks is so low that the sticks never actually touch the gates. My primary worry was that the gates would guide the sticks in the wrong directions, but if it's purely a cosmetic detail then at worst I guess it's just a stupid oversight? IMO it doesn't bode well for the quality of the controllers if they get a simple detail like that wrong, but it might be fine.

Ah yes, foolish of me to think you meant as a Switch game in the Switch thread. :P

Same game on all platforms so I don’t think it matters where I played it. Dunno if there are switch specific bugs, but as a game it is awesome.

I think the Metacritic is telling here: 64 on Switch vs. 80 on PS4, with many mentions of performance issues in the snippets. https://www.metacritic.com/game/switch/rime

Basically: get Rime by all means, but get it somewhere else.

Yup. Farming Simulator is the best or worst thing to have bought on Switch, depending on how you look at it.

I wasn't trusting the time on the game itself, as it has sat for many hours in sleep mode, but today was the eleventh day, and sure enough that time was indeed the one featured on my profile. Fifty hours in ten days. To put that into perspective, the last game I sunk many hours into at once was Dragon Quest Builders 2, but that only hit about thirty hours in ten days, with it only just recently getting onto fifty. And in the year they were bought, only three other games had more than fifty hours played [Zelda: BotW, Mario Kart 8D, and the first Dragon Quest Builders], and I'm pretty sure none of them hit that number in just ten days.

I'm mad on it, and either I'm going to burn out soon, or this will be the second game that gets more than a hundred hours played on it.

I haven't, Fisher - have you? If so, can you summarise what they've said? I was excited about the game in its original "Town" format but I've not heard many good things about it recently.

I liked it but don't think it reaches any of the heights of the best games of its ilk. The puzzles were pretty generic and never felt integrated into the world - more placed on top of it rather than found naturally within. Traversal was pretty standard b-tier uncharted clambering and I recall missing a few jumps through no fault of my own. With the collectibles, I found hunting for them made worse the game's narrative pacing, which was frustrating as the collectibles also added to the narrative.

Sunless Skies is coming to Switch (and other consoles) next year. Really excited by this as I really wanted to play Sunless Sea but don't have a PC. Anyway, day 1 for me.
