Awesome, can't wait for that. May seems like a relatively quiet time as well so hopefully it will do well.

Recently started a replay of XC2 and I'm still blown away by just how brilliant it is!

I'm also looking forward to playing Xenoblade Chronicles. I've heard good things about it but never wanted to play the sequel without playing the first one. So this is great for me. I may even get it on release.

May makes sense for Xenoblade Chronicles DE in my opinion, they have Animal Crossing NH in March (alongside Pokémon mystery dungeon), then nothing in April (but I’ll be solely focused on Animal Crossing), then in June they’ll have the Shield of Armour expansion for Pokémon. Later in the year needs to be new games or Wii U ports :toot: or older ports that are crying out for another chance to shine*

That would IMO be a really weak half-year for a mature console.

Yeah it wouldn’t be great but until we get a direct we can’t really say much more, The Outer Worlds should be out before too long, Doom Eternal we don’t know but hopefully that won’t be too long after the other versions in March so those will fill out the first half ever so slightly but it’s getting to the point where we need a direct, to confirm dates for stuff we already know about and tease what we don’t.

I could see a port in April like Pikmin 3, followed by Xenoblade DE in May and then a Mario release in June. Paper Mario or Mario Golf perhaps.

I’d be pretty happy with that for H1.

I'd be up for a proper Mario golf.

Proper Mario Golf with full on RPG mode would be great for the summer!

Shouldn’t be relying on ports at this stage etc. etc. blah blah.

Unfortunately, I imagine it would be too expensive to do on the Switch.

I can see them going down the “adventure” route like they did with Tennis.

I still haven’t got round to playing that, was it worth playing do you know?

Moving away from the first party stuff, what do you all think we will see 3rd party wise this year? Off the top of my head these are the ones confirmed or heavily rumoured

Doom Eternal
Metro Redux collection
Bioshock Collection
Saints Row 4
Trials of Mana
Journey to the Savage Planet
The Outer Worlds

It’s hard to predict Switch 3rd party as it seems to pull from current and older ports.

Maybe we will see more of the last gen collections like Batman?
