Unfortunately, I imagine it would be too expensive to do on the Switch.

I can see them going down the “adventure” route like they did with Tennis.

I still haven’t got round to playing that, was it worth playing do you know?

Gameplay was it was brilliant but the single player modes were very lacking. The campaign was just a 3-4 hour collection of mini games really rather than anything with any real depth. But if you were gonna play it regularly online or in multiplayer it was very addictive. Personally, I loved the online and hit 50+ hours on it, but I totally understand those who were disappointed by the content.

Hopefully they'll implement shot strength and type being based on cards/stickers rather than skill.

This is very good #content. Could be extend to other genres too - imagine if you could play a sticker to make a jump you flubbed in a platformer!

wait a moment that sounds good

I’m still very unhappy with the lack of single-player content of Aces. They seemed to focus more in delivering an online experience despite it not being a particularly popular online option in comparison to FPS, football, etc. That’s not to say they shouldn’t have bothered, more that they should have better prioritised the single-player. I adored both the N64 and GameCube iterations.

Not sure how many people bought Bad North here, which was a nice little game but extremely punishing. Well, I fired it up again after over a year and they have added an easy mode. If anything, it's too easy now, but I'm still enjoying playing through without feeling the rage.

I'd still recommend picking this up (perhaps if/when it's on sale) if anyone enjoys RTS/tower defence type games. If only for the stunning aesthetic.

You can restart from checkpoints now right? Seems like a huge change that will make the game much better to play

You can do level restarts; I've not noticed whether there are checkpoints as well. I've got to be honest, since putting it on easy I've not had to restart a level, so that might come in more useful when I play it on normal. But yeah, it's much better to play now. It was just too maddening before.

Anyone played erm... Power Rangers?

It just looks fun. But the price of it compared to the PSN sale (think £10 for the game, £20 full dlc included on psn) against the £40 odd on the switch for something that seems more worth of the £20 is a bit of an investment..

Has anyone played Saints Row the Third on Switch here? Still tempted to pick it up but wanted to know peoples thoughts on the game itself and it’s performance (handheld mode especially)

Battle For The Grid has some quality mechanics to it, and while I was soured to it early on owing to feeling like it catered to the Mighty Morphin' era (across both TV and the comics), getting back into it recently I haven't felt like that's been much of a problem. It's a great fighting game that's certainly worth it.

Not played it myself but I tend to trust Switchup to give a very honest assessment of games:

I recently played the PC version and rather enjoyed it but as I've only experienced it with the updates I cant really say how it compares. It was however still pretty bloody maddening! I played on normal but didn't use the level restarts as that seemed to render the idea of the checkpoint islands (you get a couple across the run) and perma death a bit pointless. A nice option to have though especially if you feel shafted by the island design/enemy types and placement. Those super archers :x :x :x on the final island to :x :x :x

After a number of attempts and an even higher number of goes from checkpoints I finally beat it last week. I was hoping it would unlock something but absolutely nothing happens. No traits or items. Dont get to keep a commander. Nothing. Was very underwhelming as I also found the rate of the unlocks during the runs rather slow. It's also meant I've not gone back since. It was a lot of fun though.
