Quick question: Will Nintendo fix drifting joy-con joysticks for free?

3 out of 4 of my joy-cons have this problem. 2 where bought when I was in Australia last year, the other was one that came with the Switch (purchased a few years ago). Very annoying as no other controller I've ever owned has had any problems. They definitely have a design fault on their hands.

I know I can buy replacement joysticks and replace myself, but that looks very fiddly and i'd rather it was done professionally.

I’m wondering if it’s worth me holding off, I absolutely never used the dock so the mini would be perfect for me but I don’t really want to have to wait until 2020 to own one if that’s looking the likely release date. Not sure if there’s any indication of release dates or anything else?

The current rumours suggest a September release, accessories for Switch mini are already available

A special edition Links Awakening switch mini would sell like hot cakes.

Aw yea boi, possibly my favourite ever Zelda. Although strawberry float me is the remake gonna be selling for 50 quid, there better be a shitload of new content. It’s about 30 year old.

I mean it's not like it's a HD rerelease, this is a brand new game in pretty much a brand new engine. It's not a remaster, they've had to completely make the game from scratch.

Though Spyro, Crash and CTR are also remakes and are £30, with Crash and Spyro having 3 games.

And Nintendo would charge this much with a HD remaster anyway, look at Tropical Freeze or New Super Mario Bros U Deluxe and Captain Toad was more expensive on Switch than Wii U.

Twilight princess and windwaker on the go would be great, as would a port of skyward sword. The probably want to bring mario sunshine in too.

Unless you're in warranty, no. They wanted to charge me £30 per joy-con or something, it was the same price to buy a pair second hand near enough.

Anyway, since then my replacements and my girlfriends joy-cons all developed drift (6 out of 6) so after it was recommended here I bought some WD-40 Electric Contact Cleaner. Sprayed that into the bottom of the sticks underneath the rubber cover and it fixed them. I've had to do it twice on the pair I use regularly, but at least it works.

The majority of them I agree on, just not Project Zero. I played it through and while it was good I just felt that it dragged on towards the end of the game. Never played Wonderful 101 but I don’t think I’d have got on with it anyway.

Started Cadence of Hyrule last night, rhythm wasn’t clicking with me then but it has been this morning, no idea where to go but I’m enjoying just discovering the world at the moment and getting used to the combat which is proving good fun! :)

The soundtrack is something else though

Yes but we’re not real gamers OR, we don’t know what good games are.

Mario Makers another Wii U remake. You need a PS4 to be a real gamer imo. Get one.

 I love how "sequel" mysteriously becomes "remake" whenever the Switch is discussed, but only then. Other platforms can have sequels and that's fine though.
