Christ, this thread is like Waiting for Godot only infinitely more boring.

On other news, you can now pre-order Dragon's Dogma for £24.99 on the eshop. Quite tempted as never really played the original release and £25 seems decent value for a ton of content.

:slol:

I have never played Dragon’s Dogma but I am also tempted to give it a go.

From what I have seen of it, it looks like a Monster Hunter-esq game but with more story/missions structure? Is that about right or am I way off the mark?

I picked up Yooka Laylee off the eshop last night as it’s 50% off making it £17.49, seems a good game to play on Switch in portable. Was also tempted by World of Final Fantasy Maxima but I don’t know it’ll it’s something I’d enjoy.

My recollection of DD is that it's kind of Skyrim-lite but with a deeper combat system (a mix of Dark Souls and Monster Hunter I think). But that could just be memory playing tricks with me. Anyone know if we're getting a physical version? Can't see a listing on Amazon or Game at the moment.

I wouldn't bother with Dragons Dogma.... They removed the best thing about it. The intro song.

I had to look that up, but... spot on  . Gotta admit that it's super-frustrating but it seems this is how it's gonna play out.

I've played the opening three-or-so hours and it's cool, Milner. Cute, chibi-style FF characters wrapped up in a neat RPG cartoon adventure in which you can stack up characters to create more powerful attacks. It's fun!

I believe the game is getting a physical release in US and Japan, but not in Europe; and there is uncertainty that the US version contains the whole game on the cart.

It looks great, though, and I'd like to give it a go!

I blocked the pair of them, not because I don't want to engage with SG64 but because he always responds and quotes Fisher, which means despite ignoring him, I still end up seeing it.

Yep. We shouldn't feed the bot. Fisher is on my ignore list but yeah, I see most of his posts. :fp:

I have finally started Wargroove, mind, and it is absolutely fantastic. Loving it so far. Unlike my slightly premature recommendation for the merciless Bad North, this is just a properly beautiful, well-balanced game. I lost a battle last night and I can't stop thinking about where I went wrong and how to put it right. Plus, unlike Bad North or Into the Breach, it doesn't make you completely start from scratch when you cark it. :toot:

If you have any interest in TBS games, don't hesitate. It's a solid 9 from me so far, and could become a 10 by the time I've finished.

I cannot understand why you’d choose to engage with Fisher over the forumites who choose not to engage with Fisher. :?

I really need to get on Wargroove, after being very excited for it I ended up not picking it up immediately just because of time considerations.

Even little things about it - such as the fact the conversationjs/cut-scenes are all succinct and to-the-point - are great. The plot (so far) doesn't go anywhere beyond they're bad, you're good, fight them. The tutorials get you into the game seamlessly, and on the fly, without over-egging the pudding, but equally without leaving you in any doubt what's going on and how to play.

I'm a bit in love.

Have read some reviews of Baba Is You, and it sounds great. However it does not seem to be available here in the UK. Has there been an announced release date?

It's been on the coming soon for a while, I think the release date listed was yesterday or today? I was planning on getting it also

Cool, thanks guys. Was worried it was one of those games that releases months later.
