I never played it before so it’s a nice surprise.

It definitely makes me think that those rumours of The Witcher 3 might be plausible. Mechanically I think the games seem fairly similar. Would just need the graphics to be scaled appropriately.

It's next on my list. I've heard so many great things about it over the years that a fully portable version for £25 is too good to pass up. Got to beat Skyrim first though!

Buy it off the Russian eshop and you can get the best part of a 5er off the price. Was dead easy to do.

G'day mate! Go Aussie if you want an extra ~50p off the Russian price!

Another reminder for folks that if you are happy to switch region (dead easy to do) then check out savecoins to see which regions offer the best price for each game.

I've probably saved a good £100 over the course of my Switch purchases by shopping around! :toot:

Only issue is the Aussie one didn’t let me use my UK PayPal account. The Russian did!

Argos has a few Switch games on offer.
Little Dragon's Cafe for £19.99
Harvest Moon collectors edition with a tote bag, mug, badges and the game for £15.99 (heard it's not much cop, but with the odd and sods that come with it, it seems reasonable)
Trailblazers for £10.99

Yeah payment options are the only thing that can be a limiting factor. I've been using a free Revolut account to shop across various regions and it seems to do the trick (and has no currency conversion fees as well!)

Disappointing reviews for Shakedown Hawaii so far :x

Sounds like a 'go there, do that' style structure.

Right I’ve bought Celeste :toot: I’ll try and start it tomorrow, wonder how long it’ll be before I make use of the assist mode

YASSSSSSS

Abd there’s no shame in using the assist mode. It’s bloody hard otherwise.

Sounds like a lot of menu management parts as well, I’ll hold off until a deep discount I think.

You could say that game was a Retrocity.

I dunno, the main campaign wasn't too bad. The extra stuff however, is strawberry floating mental. I made it through to the 3rd B side and I just didn't want to continue. The first two kicked my over confident ass.

Wasn't a fan of Retro City Rampage tbh

I never touched those and I’m happy to keep it that way! Chapter 9, though... :dread:

You could say that game was a Retrocity.

Several podcasts did at the time of release I seem to remember (Player One Podcast being one of them).

They weren’t wrong, that game was bad.

What is the assist mode in Celeste - does it just show you what to do on a screen or give you hints or something?

Haven't needed it so far, but I'm only on chapter 4 at the moment!

It’s more like a bunch of options in the pause menu. So you can slow the game down by increments, remove climbing stamina... and other stuff I think, I’ve never actually used it!

Yep as Balla says you can toggle lots of options, including slow motion and infinite dash (which is probably the most extreme assist option)

If you toggle on any of them at any point your save file will be unable to get one of the stamps on it for completing the game which marks it as non-assist, otherwise it makes no difference whatsoever.

Seriously guys, we need to keep an eye on Jazzem. I don't think he'll handle this news.
