Once I’ve beaten Spectre of Torment (tried Plague Knight again, still can’t grasp how he controls properly) I think Night in The Woods is next up :)

The secret to plague knight, is the float item you can buy (I forget what it is called). It basically extends your fall time and you hover while falling downards from a jump.

Once I got that, the game got much easier.

Hmmmm, might try and give it another go down the line then. Only played the first level of Spectre’s campaign but he seems quite op so far.

I second this, it’s more of a narrative driven experience but it works oh so well! Great cast of characters as well!

Doesn't take too long to beat either, probably about 3 hours tops. This is the kind of story led game I can get behind, it has interesting gameplay, and it takes you on a little adventure.

Throughly recommend the game to anyone.

Its the bit where they play on your muscle memory and leave you just using the right stick. strawberry floating genius.

Aye, I remember that part. It really did play with you.

In general, I thought I would hate the gameplay, but the developers realised that controlling two characters is pretty hard for most people. They never ask too much of you.

It's great. Works as well as the other versions. There's a few more bugs you might encounter and the physics can go a bit wonky, but otherwise it's still the same game.

If anyone fancies a bit of goofy fun later this week, my local Nintendo meet up group is doing a Vs Excite Bike tourney through the NES app from 7:30-9:30pm on Sunday the 25th of May. Just need to set yourself as going on there and request to join their NES Facebook chat

Obviously won't be anything too serious, a bit of daft fun!

----

In other news, my gosh is the Switch + flip grip + Downwell a lovely combination  I've started getting to the final boss reliably now but darn those projectiles are hard to avoid...

I think they follow the same dispersal pattern. I usually bait them on one side of the screen and jump over to the other side when the boss fires them.

Love that game. The last zone is probably my favourite. It's so cool.

Having just finished Steamworld Quest, I'd like to issue a friendly challenge and say that you are WRONG, sir!

The only thing stopping this statement of having any sort of validity is that I've never played Heist...but Quest is great everyone should play it k thx bye.

I haven't played quest yet but I certainly will soon

It's a high bar but the overall steamworld quality is crazy good so I'm open to it being better

I love the way they have the story continue through all the different genres. It feels like what was promised for oddworld but never really came to fruition.
