Yes! Switch is getting the new Lego Star Wars game with all nine films :toot: Thankfully out in 2020 which means they’ll hopefully do a good job of adapting The Rise of Skywalker into a Lego game as well.

Edit, Nintendo have said how long their direct will be, around 40 minutes.

Ace. 40 minutes should give us a lot. Unless the focus gets put on one game again at the end.

Didn’t clock Spiritfarer was getting a Switch release. Looked lovely in the trailer during the Xbox conference.

I likes the look of that. More stuff that is different from the norm is always welcome.

Neither did I! That's perfect, I'll definitely be playing it then :toot:

Should we anticipate an E3-related sale on the eshop this week? There’s been one for the past two years.

Possibly, though I wouldn't expect it until tomorrow evening.

So, with Nintendo's lawyers contacting guys who leak gooseberry fool I hope it means less leaks. It's so strawberry floating annoying just a day or 2 before a direct or E3 or other game convention banana splits slap gooseberry fool over the internet. Yeah, in reality it changes little, but way to ruin the gooseberry fool that's been put together and the strawberry floating surprises.

banana splits.

I’m trying to stand up for the little guy here.

I really can’t. Go, lawyers! Use Cease and Desist attack! Crush those leakers into the dirt where they belong.

Yeah, I'm happy enough that they did that. No one likes spoiled surprises.

Getting a black star on a Box Boy level on your first try is one of the most satisfying things in gaming at the moment.

Having watched the E3 conferences so far, I'm a little uncomfortable about Switch. It doesn't seem to be getting many "big" titles from third-party publishers - perhaps understandable given the tech challenges - and the support it is getting seems focussed on ports of last-gen titles. As we head towards MS and Sony powering up for next-gen and the arrival of additional competitors like Stadia, I'm not sure how Nintendo will approach this challenge.

I think the Switch is super attractive for many gamers - that dual TV / portable play is key - but I wonder if it will be steered further into the "Nintendo and indie" direction rather than be competing in terms of big-budget titles? Of course, the machine has had a terrific range of indie titles but I was kinda hoping that, after the pretty light support for the Wii, 3DS and Wii U, Nintendo would have sought closer ties with the bigger publishers.

Cadence of Hyrule has been priced on the USA eshop at $24.99 which I would imagine would make it at least £19.99 for us. At that price, it's a hard pass for me. I enjoyed what I played of Crypt of the Necrodancer but as I generally play handheld without headphones and at low volume then it never really worked well for me.

With regards what Jawa said above - I'm expecting XBox remote play to come to Switch tonight (or at least be announced).

I have to say, that doesn't worry me at all. I think I would always tend to rely on a different console for other/third party games anyway. The Nintendo+Indie approach suits me just fine.

That is just my perspective, though.
