It doesn't seem to be getting many "big" titles from third-party publishers - perhaps understandable given the tech challenges - and the support it is getting seems focussed on ports of last-gen titles. As we head towards MS and Sony powering up for next-gen and the arrival of additional competitors like Stadia, I'm not sure how Nintendo will approach this challenge.
I think the Switch is super attractive for many gamers - that dual TV / portable play is key - but I wonder if it will be steered further into the "Nintendo and indie" direction rather than be competing in terms of big-budget titles? Of course, the machine has had a terrific range of indie titles but I was kinda hoping that, after the pretty light support for the Wii, 3DS and Wii U, Nintendo would have sought closer ties with the bigger publishers.
I have to say, that doesn't worry me at all. I think I would always tend to rely on a different console for other/third party games anyway. The Nintendo+Indie approach suits me just fine.
That is just my perspective, though.
