Well, so far the contact cleaner seems to have done its job, recalibrated them to be on the safe side. Been using them about an hour with no drift.

Wonder if that would work with a Gamecube controller?

Is it WD40 or something used?

There is one small feature of the Switch that I absolutely adore.

My Switch is permanently docked. When I press the power button on the controller, it not only turns the Switch on, it turns my TV on as well.

It's the best thing.

Has anyone in here got any of the newer Lego games on the Switch? I'm playing through Lego City Undercover at the moment, and it's great fun, but I was a bit disappointed that it isn't playable with a single joycon despite the reasonably basic controls (although the special tablet powers would probably be tricky without a designated D-pad). Are any of the later games playable in co-op with each person using a single joycon, or do they all need 2+2 joycons or a pro controller?

How is the performance of Lego City Undercover? I heard it was pretty rough at launch.

Yeah, it's still a bit rough in places. Loading times are still that bit too long, and the framerate drops whenever too much goes on in the open world, but it's good fun.

EDIT: I think the most disappointing thing is that it doesn't work with the Switch's video capture. There's been loads of moments I'd like to record/tweet, but you can't :(

That, plus turns on my amp and changes it to the right input.

The downside being it also does this if I dock the switch while watching TV...

Turned it on and it changes the graphics to look like Superhot which is pretty cool, then I realised it also modified the gameplay so it plays the same, enemies only move when you do. It’s pretty cool!

Does the BEWAREOBLIVIONISATHAND code still work?

It does mate. I’ve got a review going up on Nintendad.co.uk most likely tomorrow. Would appreciate anyone checking it out!

Also, the guy that runs the site is going to be doing a twitch dark souls stream tonight at 9. Think he’s got a shitload of game codes to give away. Will be giving a code out each time he dies.

Worth checking out.

Power button on the controller? What controller do you have Squinty? Or is there a button on the joy cons I've missed?

There is a power button on the pro controller and the joy cons. On the latter i think its the one on the right controller, below the analogue stick. Press and hold and it will turn on the tv and switch hdmi (if you have enabled it in settings).

Wee Turok 2 review I did for Nintendad.co.uk

It’s made me want N64 games on Switch even more now!

I’ve seen some rumbling suggesting they will add SNES next month to encourage people to resubscribe to NSO. What do you folks think?

They need to add SNES games asap. NES games, a lot of them haven't aged well.

I'm not getting Turok 2 precisely because it doesn't have local multiplayer. If the netcode is causing problems surely they can at least give us that?

Yeah, the home button isn't quite the same as the power button (it won't do anything if the console is actually turned off, it just wakes it from sleep), but turning the console off between use is using it wrong anyway.
