Invites from friends to join online play in supported software will be displayed in this section.

It seems that you can now send friends an invitation to play in "supported" games :o .

Oh cool. There are a few interesting sounding features there.

This. I'd just installed my SNES classic at work for lunchtime/early morning sessions when the news broke about the new games on Switch.

I think I'll use the work one for quick blasts - Mario Kart, Street Fighter, Punchout, etc, and use the Switch for more in-depth stuff.

Just been down Argos and got myself that black Wireless GCN controller that I wanted rather than the grey one I've stuck with since it released. It looks a lot better than that grey one, that's for sure.

While I was down there, I also decided to pick up some eShop codes, so I've now got Daemon X Machina preloaded ready for later in the week. I think this one deserves some screen time, so I'll probably dock my Switch for the first time in ages [except for when I did so to get that hour of Go Vacation footage].

Blasphemous is out today (£20), currently at 76 on Metacritic.

I think it looks fantastic :datass:

A foul curse has fallen upon the land of Cvstodia and all its inhabitants - it is simply known as The Miracle.

Play as The Penitent One - a sole survivor of the massacre of the ‘Silent Sorrow’. Trapped in an endless cycle of death and rebirth, it’s down to you to free the world from this terrible fate and reach the origin of your anguish.
Explore this nightmarish world of twisted religion and discover its many secrets hidden deep inside. Use devastating combos and brutal executions to smite the hordes of grotesque monsters and titanic bosses, who are all ready to rip your limbs off. Locate and equip relics, rosary beads and prayers that call on the powers of the heavens to aid you in your quest to break your eternal damnation.

I heard it mentioned when Moon Remix RPG was announced. But in the context i heard it, it was just somebody wishing it would be remade, rather than anything official.

That's the official abbreviation for the Gamecube in the west. You can see its use in Mario Kart games for example, in the title of Double Dash tracks in the retro cups.

I'm back on it with my switch backlog, just finish fire Emblem , games to play are :-
Donkey Kong
Mario Maker 2
Astral Chain
Breath of the Wild DLC

Not sure which to tackle next, could do with clearing a couple before Zelda!
