If you're on-board with region-switching (and/or making purchases from an Argentinian website) on your Switch, the Argentina eShop reportedly has some incredible deals including:
Nintendo Soup wrote:Nintendo of America has set up an official website that sells digital codes for Nintendo Switch games to customers based in Argentina. These digital codes could be redeemed on the American and Canadian Nintendo eShop.

- Katana Zero ($3)
- Hollow Knight ($3)
- Stardew Valley ($3)
- Celeste ($4)
- Wargroove ($4)
- Hotline Miami Collection ($5)
- Risk of Rain 2 ($8)

Oh! Any idea how you pay on the site? Does it accept UK based credit cards?

1 - When you activate a Switch online membership you can download a NES app and a SNES app that has the various games they’re currently allowing users to access as a bonus to paying for online. You can only access them if you have a current online membership active. No other payments for being able to access the NES/SNES games and online other than the one off fee, which depending how you pay may automatically renew after a year (or I guess just end if you’ve got a code? I’ve bought a year via the eshop so not sure on this).

!

Sorry more questions :fp: so just to confirm to play snes / nes games you have to be online - you don't own the games but you can save in the cloud to carry on playing where you left off. How likely do you think it will get games for Wii, GC, N64 etc now. Do you think it will get more than the 20 snes games

Also again just to confirm when you buy a bundle - Switch plus game you have everything you need to begin playing and don't need to purchase anything else - other than I heard its a good idea to have a screen protector for when playing in not undocked mode?

Actually there will be more snes games on Switch but won't neccessarily be on a monthly schedule like Nes games

For the NES and SNES games you don't own them exactly, but do have access to them while ever you have an active subscription. Both NES and SNES apps allow cloud saves as well. I’m not 100% sure but I think to play them in airplane mode you need to ‘check in’ every 7 days, not sure if this means simply connecting to WiFi or being connected to WiFi and opening each app? Someone will probably have a more definite answer on this front.

As for buying a Switch bundle you are indeed good to go as soon as you receive it, I would say a screen protector is a good idea though as when it first came out there were reports of the dock actually scratching the Switch’s screen after repeated docking/undocking but I’m not sure if this was an issue with the design or people not quite doing it right?

Hope I’ve helped, even if just a little

Hi Robbo-92 yes definitely helped thank you for taking the time

I think I want to get one - not sure why I am trying to talk myself out of it, it sounds silly but a console is quite a big purchase.

They do look good and I can't believe the amount of games. I would say without even looking into much there is probably 20 games already out that I really want to play.

All in all would you recommend the Nintendo Switch? No regrets?

Buy it, cracking little companion console if you own any other consoles/PC and also good enough on it's own.

Without a doubt I’d buy one again if I didn’t already own one! Since I got my Switch I barely turn on the PS4 or Xbox One as for me there is more than enough games to keep me busy and keeping myself on one console really does help with the backlog situation we have all found ourselves in at some point.

What's also a bonus is the sales on the eshop have been getting progressively better over the last year and so you can get a decent library of indie stuff for not much money.

Agreed! It's a very good console, the only gaming platform I own at the moment, and I have no regrets.

I think it's become my main console, no regrets whatever.

But if you're trying to talk yourself out of it, why's that?

A previous mistaken purchase, or maybe something you didn't play? If so, what was that, and why?

Anyone imported or tried a 8Bitdo SN30 Pro+ ? Reading reviews it sounds good and it has analogue triggers which would be beneficial for games like Grid Autosport and WRC 8 (if its supported of course), been looking at a more traditional controller for a while and this one seems to fit the bill for myself.

Not sure about that exact model, but I have an 8-bit Do SF30 pro gamepad.

And I tell you what, it's absolutely incredible, and as good as if not better than a first party pad for some types of games.

So, I'd trust 8-bit Do as a manufacturer for sure.

Looking into it the analogue triggers on the 8Bitdo SN30 Pro+ are recognised as digital triggers on the Switch which is slightly annoying! Still looks like a good controller though, does it have motion/gyro controls like the Switch Pro controller? (Well I take it if their previous controllers do this one probably will?) Not really fussed about Amiibo support but the rest would be nice I suppose.

I have the SN30 Pro(Not the plus but it has the same features). It has gyro and rumble and as a bonus you can switch between switch and x input modes so you can use it as a x-box controller on pc. It's a good controller and I use it for any 2d games like Mario Maker 2.

Might go for it then, in the hope they add support for the Switch to use its proper triggers down the line, depending on the game of course. Cheers for the replies.
