I also feel the need to mention that there are a lot of things Alex and other characters say that some people can find offensive. There’s casual sexism and casual racism, comments about “unladylike” conducts, creepy talk about women’s ages, a boss whose only attack consist of flashing his genitals (thankfully obscured by the camera angle), a very weird attempt at a joke by Alex equating the adjective “ginger” to the n-word, some very rough language in a fake Internet forum that includes people throwing the r-word and other very unpleasant insults, and a lot of comments about overweight people that border mockery.

This is the stuff I needed to have known before I paid for the game... darn it. Don't really want to have supported this sort of crap.

I do like a challenge though

I take it back, the underwater leveles mario handles worse than a wet turd

I’ve not posted much in the last couple of years and there are loads of names I don’t recognise, but what is with that Fisher character?

Fisher lives in an underground hatch on a mysterious island somewhere in the Pacific Ocean. He has to post at 11:49pm every day. "Just saving the world", he says.

It's come out kinda okay... I'm pleased with how the overall image looks. My printer is pretty good but the print quality dosen't quite match that of genuine covers; it does have a slight blur which shows up on the PEGI logo text and the spine text. But, hey, it was fun making it and it's cool to have Repede on the box :-) .

Edit: Here's the original cover!

I can't see the picture now but I saw it on my phone earlier - good work, jawa!

Out of interest, what made you decide to pick it up? I remember you saying that you'd start with Zesteria but you can't go wrong with Veseperia - it's a classic

If you fancied doing the entire GBA collection in the EU DS Case format then I'd give you a pat on the back and a tuna sandwich... :) ...

Thank you, guys - it was a good way of testing out my printer. Lessons learnt: 1) It was surprisingly tricky getting the cover to be just the right size. 2) I think the results may be a little better if I used thicker (photo) paper. 3) I need to get a cutting board and scalpel rather than just using scissors. 4) I may do some internal covers for Switch games (for ones that are plain white) rather than re-doing covers. 5) It was fun to do!

Although I don't plan on doing a complete GBA range of covers ( ), Sandy, I may try other formats in the future!

Jazzem wrote:...Had a chance to play the game yet sir? Could see it being right up your alley :)

I haven't yet, Jazzem! I have started Zesteria on my PS4 and I plan on tackling that before moving into Vesperia. I'm looking forward to it, though!

Dragon, your renowned love of the Tales series was a factor in my jumping on board! Yeah, I picked up Zesteria and Berseria on PS4 in a sale during December; and having enjoyed the opening couple of hours of Zesteria I grabbed Vesperia too. I'm glad that you and a few other GRcadians spread the word about the series!

Minoru wrote:...I got a refund from Amazon instead of the replacement and I've bought the game from Argos now, so I'll be playing it tonight!

It's great that you resolved the issues, Min - did you start playing last night?

He (I assume it's a he) came over from SONM. He used to post normally on there from what I have read. Then all of a sudden he started posting on there at 11:49 pm. Nobody knows why. Maybe something happened, maybe he has something like autism and it's part of his routine, or maybe he thinks it's funny. I doubt we'll ever know. I find the posts kinda daft, throw away comments. He isn't doing any harm though and he has made a thread were he posts images every now and then.

THQNordic/Darksiders twitter accounts seem to be teasing Darksiders coming to Switch, seems a good fit for the system but I wonder if they would bring 3 over or just the first 2?

Halfway through the water world in Rayman Legends. Are all the "Rescue [XXX]" levels going to be those dojo challenge-style DO ALL THIS IN TWO MINUTES levels from now on? :dread:

I hope this isn't going to be another git gud platformer I can't finish...

Quite enjoying playing through New Super Mario Bros U Deluxe, some of the levels are pretty tricky later on especially when your trying to get all 3 gold coins in a level.

This was my problem with what was otherwise a great game. I couldn’t unlock the final world without beating the time trials (not fun for me) or the Origins levels (I actually didn’t like Origins when I played it, and the levels were a substantial part of that). So I beat the ‘official’ final boss, which felt anti-climactic, and that was it.

Heard that Mutant Mudds Collection on Switch is just over £2 on the E-shop, is it any good?

Unpopular opinion: no. I've only played the first one, but it's simultaneously slow and tough without any smidgeon of charm.

Played it on 3DS. It's alright. Never really left an impression on me. Same with Xeodrifter.

Edit - actually at that price point for both, it's worth a try definitely. People like them both.
