As someone who didn't play Crash until the mid-2000's at the earliest I always found it hilariously overrated.

It's an enjoyable platformer, but that's about it.

I've never played Okami so am kinda tempted by that. I also played Trivial Pursuit (demo) with my gf yesterday which was fun, but reviews suggest there are a lot of issues with the game e.g science questions being asked in a sports round :slol:

I got Into the Breach in the sale and would highly recommend it if you're a fan of the Advance Wars games.

Sorry to hear that - I have to say, that was always my impression of Crash platformers. Just a little bit inaccurate. I was hoping they might have tightened it up a little.

I think there are videos online where people have compared it to the originals and they've actually made it worse. The collision detection for Crash now seems to use an oval so the player will slide off edges that they never used to in the originals.

That said I've always thought Crash was a bit gooseberry fool anyway, I can't believe how many copies they seem to have sold of these remakes!

I'm sadly pretty gooseberry fool at strategy style games. Always have been, weirdly. :(

Dead Cells looks quite cool. I might check that out and Okami. I was actually tempted by the Crash Trilogy as I never played it much as a kid, but Ad7's opinions have changed my mind.

I've had my Switch a year now and still only have 2 games so feel I should get some more :slol:

The wee bit at the start of Uncharted 4 was enough for me, nostalgia-wise :slol:

I ended up using an NTSC iso with Nintendont on my Wii to save going in the loft for Twin Snakes. :toot:

We should migrate GRcade to Flarum. :toot:

Glad I’m not the only one who wasn’t wowed by the Crash remake, its enjoyable at times but its equally frustrating when you think you should be able to land on a platform or hit an enemy (or dodge an enemy for that matter) only for you to slide off the edge etc. I played Crash 1, 2 and part of 3 but by that point I felt like I’d seen and got all enjoyment from it I was going to.

Olli Olli 1 & 2 are headed to Switch in a collection, Olli Olli Switch Stance. Seem to bundle both games together with exclusive content for Nintendo Switch! Releases next month.

Hopefully we will hear of a Nintendo Direct coming this week soon, at the moment we have no games dated for release past January.

Finally got a Switch, what a beautiful bit of kit it is.

Only have Zelda so far but I think I will focus on it until I've finished, it's breathtaking and I don't want any distractions! I might work my way through the Switch exclusives one be one rather than my usual approach of buying everything and finishing nothing.

Are there any must have exclusives beyond Zelda, Mario, Mario Kart, Pokémon, Smash Bros, and Splatoon?

I don't usually double dip on games, but Olli Olli on PS4/Vita is lovely. Very tempted. Even though I still have my Vita. :fp:

Explore, and if you're stuck talk to the Elderbug in Dirtmouth for some hints. You'll gain a purpose other than "adventure!" soon enough.

Trash tier game, delete it and buy Guns Gore and Canolli instead.

I did delete HK to make room for Valkyria 4, but turns out I have space left so I might re-install and have another stab at it.
