I think I'll give it a go; even though I have never really played a Pokemon title and, to me, it feels like a genre that has been around for so long that's it seems a bit hard to get into now.

The graphics are simple but, to me, pretty cute - I like the wee cubed Pokemon!

Why tease the 'R' as if it'll be a sequel to Sonic R and then make a racing game where they're all in cars?

I use my Switch Pro Controller for the PC version and it's OK. Obviously not as good as having a fightstick, but fine. So I assume it would work well on Switch too.

Anyone tried the wired controllers that are a bit cheaper? Are the d pads on those any use? Any way to use them in handheld?

I've had a look on the eShop and it seems that your characters proceed on a set path, with you just choosing the fight moves that they make as they approach baddies. There is a raft of weapon-booster add-ons to purchase too; it doesn't feel good and I'm gonna hold off purely because I don't want to fall into that hole of paying to get through the game.

I've noticed that a few of you guys have tried out the game - what did you reckon if it? Were my thoughts too harsh?

I've played the first hour perhaps. It's kinda fun, pretty simple - you spend time organising your team in advance of setting out on an expedition (by choosing 3 Pokemon from the ones you have available, equip stat boosters which you unlock as you go, stuff like that) and then in mission you just pick attacks as your characters move themselves. You unlock more Pokemon by cooking meals with ingredients found on levels and waiting for them to appear at your base.

I haven't played enough yet to get to the point where spending money on it would help me, but I can see enough wait timers and such that I can see it being an issue later on.

I was thinking that, too! :o :) . It has reviewed well, Ad - Eurogamer Recommended and generally positive vibes from elsewhere.

Just bought it along with stardew valley :toot:

I’ve been playing ‘Little Nightmares’ on the Switch over the last couple of days. The main game is really enjoyable and despite its flaws it is innovative enough that you forgive the little indiscretions. However the DLC is less contained and more expansive and unfortunately, despite the good ideas, the main flaws in the game become much more apparent and the game becomes a bit too trial and error.

It looks like a reimagining of the Mystery Dungeon games for casuals. Not sure it's for me.

I have not been on my Switch for a while but because it’s free I thought I’d give it a go, I played it for around 15 mins and it just seems like you watch these minecraft style Pokemon run around and hit each other, I preferred the free Pokémon games on the 3ds (shuffle and Rumble)

I've picked it up and it looks really good. Can't tell how it handles the later levels as I suck haven't had time to get to them yet.

Passed 100 hours in Football Manager today :dread:

They released a big update a couple of days ago and it’s looking much steadier, although I’ve still had 1 hard crash since the update.

If this game is by Sumo Digital, then it has got my attention.

Amazon UK have put a lot of placeholder titles up with ‘Just announced at E3’ images

https://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Dvideogames&field-keywords=Placeholder+Nintendo+Switch

A Bayonetta 3 logo is on one of them, could we see gameplay at E3 then?

This looks real to me. If it’s fake, it’s an absolutely superb fake to be fair.
