The headphone socket is in the top of the machine, Rex - so we should be able to chat in both docked and portable mode :-).

I'd need a hell of a long cable to reach my sofa then.

Haha  . Yeah, I guess so if you're on your sofa, Rex!

Does the pro-controller have a headphone/headset jack on it?

Unfortunately not, dude. It has a micro USB charge socket but that's it.

So that probably explains Nintendo's strategy on headsets then. They made the mistake of not tying the headset in to the controller functionality like Sony and Microsoft do. They really should have put the jack on one of the joycons but maybe they either didn't consider it or ran out of space with throwing everything else in there (like the IR sensor). Headphone jack on a pro-controller would have been a half measure which maybe they didn't want to do. I guess it just shines a light on how important they thought voice chat actually was.

I think the seasons pass saves you around three quid against buying the content individually, Osito - I looked yesterday but can't remember the exact pricing. You can look it up in the eShop - just search for the game and then look at the add-on content; the season pass lists the content and the individual pricing. The Gold Edition has been out for quite a while now, even though the new expansion hasn't arrived yet.

Cheers Jawa, just had a look. The gold version was an eye-watering £61.99 on the eShop. £61.99! Guess I'm going physical then.

Another +1 for Rayman Legends, right up there with Super Mario World as my favourite 2D platformer. Already got it on the Wii U (and again through Games with Gold and PS+), but if you've never played it before pick it up ASAP.

They said 09:00 PDT on the stream, which equals 17:00 BST for us. Kind of funny really since they started them at 18:00 in previous years.

They could add bluetooth headset support though? I think that would be the easiest way to do it, there's loads on the market, and it should be able to be patched in with just software.

Could a joy con Bluetooth to the console and a headset at the same time? I'm assuming they connect to the console remotely by Bluetooth, it could work by fairy magic for all I know.

No you're correct. I meant connect a BT headset directly to the switch.

I've plugged my PS Headset into the Switch and it works (well sound comes out) I put the dongle bit in the USB on the Dock and it connected. The buttons on the headset don't always behave properly though.

Overcooked 2 is up on Amazon. It's £19.99 on Ps4, £19.99 or Xbox One and £19.99 on Switch, well before you include the £10 Switch tax. That's right it is TEN POUNDS more expensive. WHAT THE ACTUAL strawberry float?

 . I had no idea that you'd be able to use the dongle; I thought you'd have to connect via the cable. This means that you could use the console in TV or portable mode and still use the headset (provided you didn't wander miles from the dock). Amazing! Will give it a go later.

FAKE EDIT: This means you could use the dongle method for any game... not just Fortnite?

You could get the Switch download version for £19.99, dude. It only requiress 1.7Gb of storage space.

I want physical versions. I try my best to avoid digital. It's archaic, but I like my stuff on cart/disc.

I'm still playing away, lots of locations open. My current favourite bit was at The Kellogg Ranch, the secret room

Fantastic bit! Have you mad it to
Ghostwood
yet? Definitely one of my favorite parts of the game.

Yep, that's why my middle name is now Edgelord. Slightly disappointed though as it had previously been Sneaky.

Official Gamecube controller adapter for Switch. Sorry if mentioned previously.

Image

Ideal for multiplayer stuff if you still have any cube controllers lying around. I still have two.
