I play both docked and portable around the house. Played some Let's Go Pikachu last night sitting at my PC then carried on my game in bed for an hour or so.

Can't wait for a bit of Remake on the shitter!

While you're far from alone, you're also far from in a majority on this. Don't forget that the whole selling point of the machine was being able to play it as both. To back this up, Nintendo surveyed Switch users a while back and found that actually slightly more people play only on the go (although the overwhelming majority play both ways).

Now, I'm not saying that all those people will pay significantly over the odds for games - most will probably make a decision weight up portability, cost, performance, and presence of achievements/trophies among other things. I am saying that you seem to be underestimating the appeal of portability to most of the Switch's audience.

Oh, I know. I just see it as daft that people willingly pay £10+ for portability. I also don't see why it costs so much either, ya know?

For me it's often the difference between playing or not playing a game. There isn't really a value comparison between platforms, even if a game is £10 on PS4 vs £30 on Switch then that doesn't matter if I won't play it on PS4.

The value assessment comes down to the game itself, and Resi 4 is definitely worth it.

Why not get it on PS4 when it's on sale for pennies?

I just find it weird that people would want to pay over the odds to have it on the switch when you can play it on pretty much every console since the GameCube.

I don't want to pay over the odds, dude - just highlighting how Capcom are trying to rip off UK and Europe customers with the pricing. It's actually worse than indicated earlier, too - Capcom has now set the price for all three titles at £29.99 each on the (UK) eShop  .

Yeah, I won't be picking up Resi 4 at that price  .

>>> Switch tax newsflash <<<

Unravel 2 was released at £15.99 on PS4 (PS Store); it's now available to pre-order at £24.99 on the eShop.

EA and their "special relationship" with Nintendo! :toot: .

They really are sending Unravel 2 to die. £25 and on the same day as Yoshi

Stopped playing Axiom Verge. Had to ask myself, do I give a gooseberry fool anymore? Answer is no.

Gotta hand it to the creator, It's a pretty cool achievement, but the backtracking and the general navigation issues just annoyed me too much. Other Metroidvania games have done this so much better.

Standard practice for EA by now. Snatch up small publishers, doom their games to failure, then dissolve the company.

The ol' Book 'em, strawberry float 'em and Chuck 'em.

$30 plus 20% VAT is currently £27.72 so I wouldn't say that this is an example of poor region pricing.

Capcom pulled this same trick with Resident Evil 2 and 3 on GameCube. They wanted £30+ for games that were available on PlayStation 1 and Dreamcast at that point for under a tenner.

You would at least expect some sort of special physical release here. Steel book with guide, art, manual, whatever...

My problem with this one is that, all 3 of these games launched on every other platform for £15.99. These are the exact same versions as them so why is the launch price double that of the launch prices prior to this?

Not only that, all the other games Capcom have released/are releasing on Switch are the same price as what they launched or will launch on the other platforms (See Dragons Dogma and Ace Attorney Trilogy) why are these Resi games ridiculously over priced? This is Capcom trying to take advantage of the whole “Switch owners will lap everything up” I really hope these don’t sell and Capcom gets the message.

It's impressive how much skill there is in the controls, and how much you end up able to pull off with them. Very similar to gang beasts in that respect.

Those Resident Evil games shouldn't have been no more than £20 each and £50 bundle for all three.
