And I still couldn’t follow any of them!

Yeah, I had to come on here for help and watch some Youtube videos to get my head round the combat.

I had to ask here for help on the combat as well.

I feel that the basics of combat could have been better explained for newcomers. They were well explained in Xenoblade 1 and so I could build on my experience from that when playing 2 but I did remember thinking that I would have been a lot more stuck had a not played 1. It was interesting to me that it became kind of necessary to play Xenoblade 1 for the tutorial instead of any kind of story.

That being said, any reason to play Xenoblade 1 is a good one because it's a fantastic game :wub:

I will be. My thoughts with 4 young kids is, that they and I will have fun with it.

Not this weekend; I'm away. But I'm warming to the idea. Think it could be good at Xmas.

I'm thinking about it. There just doesn't seem much of a point without multiplayer mayhem, though.

I read two reviews, one was a pretty meh 6 and the other was an 8 but that came from NintendoLife so I was assuming some level of weighting needed to be applied. Maybe I'll search out a couple more.

It's sitting at 78 on metacritic and the headlines all sound pretty positive that it's a return to form for Mario Party

Which last happened on like, the DS version?

An easy yardstick for me would be, is it as good as or better than Mario Party 4? If it is then I'll buy it.
