THIS. Screw going back to the old style. But you just know a load of people won't want change.

Nah, I think you need some way of weakening the wild pokemon outside of just spamming them with balls, it just doesn't make any sense :shifty:

Also get rid of the stupid catching minigame after crippling legendaries! They can't faint but then still break out of 17 ultra balls :x

The berry system works fine for weakening I think, but they could definitely expand on it a bit.

Pokemon Let's Go has the best gameplay mechanics of any Pokemon. I would bring back held items but that's about it.

I hope they don't I strawberry floating hate spending ages trying to catch a Pokémon for it to run and you get SWEET strawberry float ALL for it. At least in the old games you fight a wild Mon and knock the strawberry floater out you get XP.

Honestly, if let's go is the route they go with Pokémon I think I'll be out. Yeah, one person means gooseberry fool, but I'd be so disappointed.

Did the berry effect wear off if the pokemon broke out of the next ball you threw? The ring colour would change to an easier colour when I used a berry but go back to whatever it was if the pokemon escaped, and I don't think it ever really explained if that was what was happening.

Definitely think it'd be nice to have pro controller support/the ability to disable motion controls in the next Let's Go, too.

Yeah, everytime a 'Mon breaks out you have to reuse a berry.

The only thing I want from Let's Go is Pokemon being visible in the wild. I want the rest to be traditional, I want to use my Pro controller too. Otherwise I'm out.

Must admit, the monster adventure in keenest on at the moment is Yo-Kai Watch 4. One simple reason for this: real-time battles.

I think Gen. 8 might change less than people expect, and be happy to use the technology increase to skimp on evolution elsewhere. I hope I’m wrong.

(Also: no more Megas please.)

To be honest, what ever the gen 8 games end up being like there’s a 99.9% chance I’ll be there on day one. It’d have to be something truly terrible to keep me away from a new Pokémon game on launch day.

Town is going to be an eShop only game. And an interesting one at that, but I can't imagine it has too much in the way of resources allocated to it so I wouldn't expect it offer clues to how Pokemon will look.

I'd say it'll probably look fairly different to Let's Go, which I think might become its own series because of how popular it was, and so they'd need to make the mainline games and Let's Go look distinct from each other. Also while the main pokemon games haven't necessarily always pushed their hardware graphically, each new game in a gen has illustrated a leap in graphical quality/ambition over previous similar titles.

I didn’t realise Town was an eShop only game, I still guess if it does launch in 2019 it’ll be in the summer, certainly before Pokémon later in the year so they don’t stand even a remote chance of competing against each other.

I'll be surprised if they're not using the same engine as Town for the new Pokemon game tbh.

So many off those animations look like they're from a Pokemon game.

That’s the first time I’ve watched that trailer in ages, I thought it looked loads worse graphically from what I remember, a slightly nicer/more polished version of that could look very nice in my opinion.

I like the look of TOWN, looks like it could be an interesting side project for GF.

Picked up Windjammers today in the sale and just played some multiplayer games in tabletop mode. It’s a lot of fun, it’s like air hockey down the arcades.
