I've been playing since launch and I love it - a rare FPS where raw skill isn't everything and thinking tactically about positioning and disengaging reigns supreme. It's also damn fun to play with the movement being a joy and the character abilities being a lot of fun.

If anyone wants to get into it I'd be very down for showing anyone the ropes!

Not played in 12 months at least (season 2 had just dropped I think? with the french electro girl waifu?) but I'm going to try the switch version. Looking forward to playing with you again bro - had some great fun last time I played. Who was that Irish guy we used to play with? He was a funny guy.

That would have either been GRCadian Dmin or his non-forumite pal FrostyMojito! They're still about and play a chunk!

There's a good few GRCadians who play Apex these days - I'd recommend joining the GR discord (https://discord.gg/Gyfme3nd) and using the party up channel to get a game once you're up and running.

I'll be giving the switch version a go out of curiosity but will use that account to get matched into easier games for newbies who want to learn (my level 350 ps4 account drags people into much harder matches!)

I've not played any FPS on my switch lite so it's going to be a trial by fire I think.

Hey if respawn pulled their fingers out and figured out cross progression you'd almost have a legitimate claim there.

Oof. Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town has received a very mediocre preview by Nintendo Life; they don't seem overly enamoured by it.

Expectations seemed to be that Story of Seasons would be great whilst Harvest Moon: One World - out on Friday - would be poor. Maybe things are gonna be turned on their head?

Should be no issue at all with all this incoming fodder trying to use their switch lites to play this.

And Dual using his Lite will help boost your revive stats for lifeline!

Having played a total of ten or perhaps even twenty games of Apex, I look forward to sneering at Dual's rubbish play and noob mistakes.

For anyone interested, I've just published an article looking at the games I've played across this fourth year.

Early thoughts are indicating that Harvest Moon may not be that great, either. The game released in the US today and some folk are showing vids of it.

Other folk are showing vids of SOS, too... but they're "influencers" who have been given a free copy of the game by the publisher and I'm never keen on that; a number of the people seem to be dishing out praise before they've even got into the game.

Both titles have a "season pass", too, and it does make you wonder about the amount of content included in the base games. It's gonna be interesting to see how the reviews pan out on these two.

SOS was almost certainly going to be the better of the two but I'm not surprised its still not great

I'm the complete opposite, despite its much lauded software catalogue I've bought precisely 4 games for my PS4 in the 2 years I've had it and if it weren't for Bloodborne having been so damned fantastic I wouldn't hesitate to say it was a mistake to buy the machine!

Ah fair. For me it was the first non-nintendo console I've owned since the mid 2000s, so I had and still have a lot to catch up on.

Pretty meaty report from Bloomberg: Nintendo Plans Switch Model With Bigger Samsung OLED Display

Is it safe to assume we might officially hear something at the end of March about this model? Similar to how they announced the existence of Switch as codename NX during their shareholder meetings. Either way I don't see thing this thing getting released this year but an official reveal might not be far off.

I would expect to hear around May/June if it’s only going into production around that time. They still want to sell the Mario and MH themed Switches they have put/coming out.

No mention in the article about power increases, I hope it’s not just a new screen and a dock that has some oomph in it. I play predominantly handheld so I want a new model that offers improved performance as well as a bigger screen.

Out of curiosity how many games available on PS4 did you opt to get on PC?

Check out my YouTube channel!
One man should not have this much power in this game. Luckily I'm not an ordinary man.

These Switch Pro rumours are like the boy who cried wolf, feels like we’ve heard so many from different sources over the years that even when we finally get what could be the true one I won’t believe it

Only couple of games that could sway me is if BoTW 2 and Pokémon Legends have drastically better graphics and performance, if they’re just slightly better I’ll stick with my current/original Switch and wait for the Switch 2 to come out.
