Made a little more progress on Digimon, the story is quite interesting for now, seems to be a little bugged on the save time front though, thinks I’ve been playing for 16 hours already (on the in game save timer), played about 3 by my own timings (wonder if the Switch’s play time will tally with the in game one). How do you get more Digimon? Just battle them till you have enough data and then download them? Not played it on the TV yet, but handheld it looks rather nice so far.

Yes that is how you get them and then by digivolving them after meeting the right criteria

Thanks, wasn’t sure if there was a catching mechanic similar to Pokémon or not.

watch out though some of the evolving criteria are far more complex than pokemon

Just picked up 5 Digimon that are from (I’m guessing) the dlc, any of those of worth using?

I never used them myself cause I wanted to raise them. But the are alternative versions of digimon at the highest level so if you just want to power through I imagine they’d be great for that

So kind of like legendary Pokémon? I’ve just got them in the farm at the moment, investigating something. I’ll stop asking questions for now and just enjoy it! If I struggle I’ll get the 5 Digimon in my party once I have enough memory for that.

In one sense perhaps but not quite, they’re just fully evolved

Ok, so I’ll definitely leave them for now and just train them in the island instead, unless I find myself in a bind at some point. Found out why my playtime is so high anyway, the in game time records the time when your Switch is asleep with the game open too :fp: just jumped up to 20 hours now

Why do Robbo's quote pyramids cause that massive gap to appear under his signature? EDIT: Huh, I post and they vanish. Anyone else seeing this?

I've just finished Tales of Vesperia (really good JRPG, highly recommended to anyone who's into the genre and hasn't played it) and am struggling with forum favourite Inside. It's really grim, which is not my thing. Also any time a dog barks my heart beats in a way that I'm sure isn't good for me.

Nikkei: Nintendo raises Switch output to 30m, plans to release a follow-up Switch model capable of better graphics.

https://asia.nikkei.com/Business/Electronics/Nintendo-raises-Switch-output-to-record-30m-on-stay-at-home-demand

TOKYO -- Nintendo will ramp up output of the Switch to about 30 million units this fiscal year, Nikkei has learned, marking an all-time high for the flagship gaming device in a bid to capitalize on continuing stay-at-home demand.

The Kyoto-based company approached multiple parts suppliers about accelerating production. People with direct knowledge of the matter verified plans to expand output.

Nintendo is taking an unusual step for a device that is already in its fifth year of existence. The strategy will have to contend with a number of new rival offerings that have appeared in the last year.
In addition, Nintendo will release a follow-up Switch model capable of better graphics. This will be the first such offering since the 2019 release of the Nintendo Switch Lite.

In the previous fiscal year through March 31, stay-at-home demand brought about by the pandemic fueled blockbuster sales of the social game "Animal Crossing: New Horizons" and the new "Monster Hunter" title.

Nintendo appears to have broken a new consolidated profit record in fiscal 2020. Such an earnings report would echo the results from fiscal 2007, when the company released its two hit devices the Wii and the DS

This console is doing fantastically well for Nintendo, surely it will hit PS4/DS numbers by the end of its life once a price drop comes. Another nod towards the Switch Pro, be interesting to see if that gets mentioned in the financials next week even if not directly.
