Just tried the Bluetooth audio on my LG wireless buds and it’s not great, the sound is really low even on max but the worst part is the lag. Tried Quake and you shoot a gun and it’s a good 1-2 seconds before you hear it, wonder if they can improve this with another patch or if that’s the best they can offer

Yeah I tried the Bluetooth as well and there is definite lag. Oh well, wired ftw

Do you have auto limiting volume selected in the options? Mine was by default, when i unticked it the "max" volume was really only about 60%.

Lag is minimal on airpods. Its the first time in a long time I have felt like they are not a waste of money.

Nah I have that switched off but it doesn’t seem to make a difference

Annoying as they are £100 headphones so was hoping they would have minimal lag but it’s too distracting to be able to play games that way. Will need to stick with my wired ones for now

Partner grabbed a brand new open box switch for about £215 from curry's ebay discount outlet, so I am not sad.

Also, our holiday was cancelled about 3 times so... Well of course all that was left was GAMES.

And it was my birthday. Clever girl.

All I would say is that your mileage may vary. I have used the BT audio for about 3 hours today and its been excellent, minimal lag (a small bit, but probably less than my sound bar adds to my TV), no disconnects / crackling and connects straight away every time.

No doubt different headphones will give different results, but don't dismiss it as being a non starter.

BT is pretty temperamental as well, just disconnecting and reconnecting can give very different results in terms of quality/lag so it's worth having a few goes before writing it off

In my experience bluetooth compatibility between devices is about as consistent as a slug in wet weather.

Refund plot twist. Bear in mind at this point I have filled in two forms, and sent an email, and then been told the technical team was looking at it.

Then, per my update on here yesterday, they sent me this:

Dear Steve,

We apologise for the delay. The technical team has asked us to offer you a wallet refund, as a one-time exception, for the purchase of Art of Rally. The funds would be added back to your Nintendo eShop account. Would you appreciate it if they proceeded with such a thing?

We hope to hear from you soon!

Kind regards,

Alejandro

To which I replied:

Hi, yes, if you could please proceed with a refund as discussed, that would be appreciated.

Best wishes,
Steve

And today, strawberry floating incredibly, I got this back:
Dear Steve,

We have now escalated this back to the dedicated technical team for their consideration. Once they have an update we will get back in touch with you. Until then, there is no need for you to reply to this email. Thank you in advance for your patience regarding the matter.

Have a nice day!

Kind regards,

Alejandro

Bluetooth update, huh?
...testing...
Disappointingly laggy for me. Guess I still have a use for my Homespot bluetooth adapter (which, to my ears, has an imperceptible amount of latency) then.

So we've had firmware updates for Switch, PS5 and PS4 drop today - Xbox appears to be the exception from all this firmware goodness.
