Gamexplain visual comparison between old Mario Party and Superstars:

Which begs the question... Why couldn't they have given Mario 64 this treatment in 3D All-Stars?!

I know the answer is that their audience didn't require a visual upgrade to persuade them to buy 3D All-Stars, therefore the resources required for such a job could be used elsewhere, but still.

What could've been.

Nintendo are clearly holding back a lot of complete titles including botw 2. They are stretching out their releases with remasters and mini games that the casuals will buy. I also think that wind waker and twilight princess will get single boxed releases at full price knowing them. The game and watch zelda was a final insult that no one really wants.

Great game, I hope they do a sequel in the future and add more modes

Yeah, me too.

It's so underrated! It's a shame they didn't put more into the single player campaign (there's so much lore outside the games) but when you get to a decent level in the online, it comes into its own. Battles can get really tense and so satisfying when you win.

Exactly, getting into a good battle with someone online is great.

Tried the demo and loved the vibe and designs (though some of the post-match bits and so on were a bit quiet?) but couldn't quite gel with the wrists-up motion controls. Is that the best way to play or do you use the more classic schemes (couldn't try them in demo)

I always played without motion controls which were more than fine. I dont think the default controls were that well laid out but they added the option to remap.

I also find the motion controls work really well. It's an unusual way of holding the joy-cons. Once you've figured that out, it's 'spring-a-ling' time (as Springman would say). Still, it's not for everyone, which is perfectly fine (the best games often aren't in my opinion).

It only really becomes enjoyable once you've got a grip of the mechanics and how to fight half-decent. I still suck at the game, but as Tomous said, it can be an intense and satisfying experience! Train hard and discover your inner Springman.

It's really bad that Nintendo haven't fixed this yet. They will surely start losing money from people not buying games because they can't play them.

Yeah. I purchased Cities Skyline and Monster Sanctuary last night.

Cities has downloaded but MS keeps getting the error message.

What a joke Nintendo are.

Since a few were listing out games, here's mine.

New Releases Purchased in 2021:
-Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury
-Littlewood
-Monster Hunter Rise
-Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town
-New Pokémon Snap
-Miitopia

New Releases to Buy in 2021:
-Mario Golf: Super Rush
-The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD
-Hotel Life: A Resort Simulator (Possibly)
-Sonic Colours Ultimate (Might be on Xbox to keep the collection there)
-Super Mankey Ball: Banana Mania
-Mario Party Superstars
-Pokémon Shining Pearl
-Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp

New Releases in 2022 and Unknowns
-Pokémon Legends: Arceus
-Mario + Rabbids: Spark of Hope
-Test Drive Unlimited: Solar Crown (Dependant on how it looks on Switch)
-LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga
-Sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

There's plenty for me in the last half of this year, even on the Xbox. Of course, I keep telling myself I can't get everything at launch, but knowing me I'll have done so anyway.

I changed my DNS settings as per this article and it seems to have done the trick  https://kotaku.com/some-switch-users-can-t-download-games-after-recent-fir-1847082519

I own it, having never played it on any other formats. I think it's great, though it can slowdown once your city size becomes quite large

I just finished downloading it. Also never played it on anything else, really looking forward to having a property city sim on a handheld - sewage management whilst I'm on the loo :toot: :toot:

I'm enjoying this! Took me a few false starts and a YouTube tutorial to understand what was going on but yeah it's alright for £8!

Must say it runs much better than Civ VI which is probably the only comparable game on the switch I've played.
